Roo and Tugs are joined by Lyrick as they discuss everyone’s favorite topic to avoid – grief, loss, and death. How do these huge changes affect us? What makes loss unique in the fandom? What do we have in common with society at large when it comes to grief? And why is Roo talking like Ira Glass? We answer these questions, and more, during this episode, which was inspired by our listener – Syd! We also play a THE GAME, bring you a new Get Psyched! with Dr. Nuka, Space News, and more!

Roo and Tugs are joined in their portable studio by the (in)famous commediennes Margaret Cho and Selene Luna to talk about how they’ve found laughter while giving back to their communities and causes. During the episode we also learn about how they have had contact with the furry fandom, how they feel Hollywood perceives furries, and also read your questions to them on the air. Next episode: There comes a time in life when many desire to give back to their community and help out those who need anything from just a hello and a hug to something far greater. Fur What It’s Worth will be joined in-person by Margaret Cho as we discuss how she gives back to her communities while laughing all the while. We’ll also read your questions (about ANYTHING) to her and get her responses! Your hard deadline is February 23, 2016 to send your voice clips and emails!
Special Request: This is a rare opportunity for our fandom to shine! If you have a friend or family member who appreciates Margaret’s work, please share the word! We’ll happily read their emails or play their voice clips on the air!
The unthinkable has happened – a lawyer, Lee, has come into the studio for an entire show! RUN FOR THE HILLS! Once you’re there listen closely as Roo and Tugs dive into the subject of Copyright – the basic terms around the world, what you can do, what you own, and what you don’t. Do you own your character? Who own art commissions? What can and can’t you control about your character? What about creating derivative works? Is uploading your favorite pieces of art to social networks okay? We ask all of these questions and more in this deluxe length episode! We also bring you fresh space news, an old-timey ad, The Mailbag, THE GAME, and a NEW segment! We also have a big announcement at the end of the episode, so relax and enjoy the ride!

After recent events at conventions, such as the series of events at Rainfurrest, and years of “f***ing furries”, we had to ask – Is our Fandom full of dumb people? Roo and Tugs are joined by master debater Arcas and master scientist/psychologist/and one of the lead researchers of the Anthropomorphic Research Project, Nuka, as they try to answer this question. Have we opened the door too wide and just let anyone in? Do we not hold furries accountable for their actions? Why or why not? Listen as Nuka and Arcas discuss the facts gathered over years of research and they reach the answer to “Is our fandom full of dumb people?” The answers just might surprise you.

During the holiday season so much focus seems to be on gift giving. Roo and Tugs protest each year by inviting you to share what you’re grateful for and read your emails on the air. This time, they’re joined by Kethi, who shares his own perspectives between your emails. Tugs also pranks Roo more than a couple times before they open up the massively stuffed mailbag and clear out the backlog. Want some heartwarming chicken soup for the tail this weekend? Next episode: Is our fandom dumb? With the recent events at Rainfurrest and the regular joke we make of our own fandom, is our fandom filled with dumb people? Share your thoughts by January 8, 2016!
Coming out as gay/lesbian/bicycle is one of the most intense moments in any person’s life. Since so many furries happen to be one of the three, we invited Mark back into the studio with his Mother, Flo, where they shared their deeply personal stories about Mark’s coming out. Hear both sides of how Mark decided how and when to share this part of his identity, how his mother struggled on her path to acceptance, and how they both found a new love in their relationship as mother and son. Everyone has a little bit of themselves in this story, including those who shared their stories via email and voice. — This episode also has bonus downloads! Check the show notes page for THE GAME, which was cut to keep this episode at the standard double length.
