He designs and fabricates furniture at his "Yang Woong-Geol Furniture Studio". He spent his teen years b-boying before his fateful  encounter with woodcraft in the military. Although both b-boying and wood crafting gave him joy and happiness, he chose woodcraft for a better future. Woodcraft training led him to develop a passion for furniture design. So, he entered Kaywon University of Art and Design in 2010 to study furniture design. This training background enabled him to expand his boundary of woodcraft and served as a stepping stone for him to run a furniture studio. He was born and grew up on Jeju island. He once left the island for his studies and new opportunities as a furniture designer. He returned to Jeju island in 2018 and now runs a furniture studio in Jeju island.
