Zero Trust, Microsegmentation, What does it all mean and why does it matter. Well, we are going to try to answer those questions today, because we are talking with Illumio, so stay tuned.
We are going to be talking about a couple of hot topics in security, Zero Trust and Microsegmentation. So many companies have been told by their auditors to segment their systems, but it hasn’t been smooth sailing. Zero trust is talked about a lot, but few companies have made it work.
Today, we are talking with Illumio’s Chief Evangelist Nathanael Iversen, who is going to tell us what he is seeing in the market.
Welcome Nathanael

With the infrastructure sprawl that has been accelerated by the pandemic, many companies are flying blind without the necessary visibility into their assets. Over the past few years, one company has emerged and grown to be a dominant player. Today we are going to talk to the big dog in the monitoring space, Datadog.
Today, we are going to be talking about monitoring and the critical nature of visibility. In my days on the customer side, I knew how invaluable this information was to keep the business stable and running.
We are very fortunate to have with us Ilan Rabinovitch, VP Product & Community at Datadog and a prominent figure in the Linux community, to tell us how the magic works at Datadog and how they became such a dominant player in such a short time.

Today we are talking with SentinelOne. Their product faired better than most against the SolarWinds attack. To quote their site, “SentinelLabs, the research division of SentinelOne, has confirmed that devices with SentinelOne agents deployed were excluded from the SUNBURST attack from an early stage, even before any communication with a malicious C2. Technical analysis confirmed that SUNBURST was unable to disable or bypass SentinelOne in any environment.” I’ll let that sink in for a second.
Today we have with us Jared Phipps, SVP Worldwide Sales Engineering at SentinelOne, to help us understand what it was that they did right, and to tell us about what their recent acquisition of log data management company Scalyr means for their business.

Here at FUTRtech, we love to talk about great new companies. We also have been talking a lot about security these days with major breaches regularly appearing in the headlines. Today you are in luck, because we are going to be talking about both.
One of the challenges with security is knowing where to spend your money and where to put in the effort to achieve the best results. The truth is, unless you know what the state of your security is, it is very hard to take effective measures to protect your organization.
Today we are talking with Safe Security CEO Saket Modi (You may know Safe Security by their previous name Lucideus). Saket is a young and dynamic CEO who has a really refreshing take on business and security, and they have an A-list group of investors backing them which includes former Cisco CEO John Chambers who was a lead investor.
Safe Security is in the business of measuring trust, and making Cyber risk an informed decision, so Saket is going to fill us in on the state of security and tell us why understanding risk is the first step in the battle to protect your business.

When we first talked with Nick Tasler in May of last year, he was trying to figure out what he was going to do when the events industry went into lockdown effectively ending his work as a keynote speaker. We talked about pivoting, and Nick made a great pivot.
Nick is now a content producer and has come a long way from where he was in May of last year.
Today, we are going to catch up with Nick to learn what he did to turn things around so quickly and so effectively.
Welcome Nick

There have been some very high profile hacks in the news lately. Some of these have even been hacks of security vendors themselves, from Microsoft to FireEye, but perhaps one of the most disturbing was the recent SolarWinds hack that we are just starting to come to grips with. If you are not familiar with the details of this attack, you need to be. Today we are going to talk security so buckle in.
The scope of the recent Solarwinds hack is massive and the true depth of this attack is still being discovered. This is one of many disturbing recent security breaches. Businesses are being faced with trying to defend from a myriad of attacks that are growing more persistent and sophisticated every day. They are constantly trying to guard against everything from data exfiltration to ransomware attacks, and more insidious data manipulation attacks, but how do you do this if you can’t trust the information you are working with?
Today we have with us Val Bercovici founder and CEO of Chainkit, a company that is working to build chains of custody to simplify trust in the world’s information. He is here to tell us how establishing chains of custody around data can help to identify and protect against attacks. Val is going to help us make sense of what has been going on.

Today we are going to talk about two big pandemic concerns, pivots and security, and we have a company taking care of both, Sysdig. Sysdig was founded as an open source troubleshooting tool by Loris Degioanni in 2013. You may know Loris Degioanni as co-creator of the very popular open source network analyzer Wireshark and the container security tool Falco.
While Sysdig began life as a troubleshooting tool, it has evolved into a security tool which has left them well positioned for this pandemic. Security has been a huge challenge as businesses are faced with remote workers and a much more distributed, cloud centric infrastructure. Sysdig is in a position to leverage the tools they built to quickly expand their product to address some big gaps in today’s market.
Today, we are talking with Sysdig CRO, Keegan Riley. Keegan has worked for a who’s who of technology stalwarts from EMC to HPE to Nimble. Sandesh and I are very excited to talk with Keegan and get the story of Sysdig’s journey.
Welcome Keegan

Those of you who know me know I like a good turn around story and I have a great one for you today. When the pandemic struck, it hit the events industry particularly hard. Our partner for the eMERGE 2020 Chicago event, Echelon Design felt the impact immediately, seeing a drastic reduction in engagements with no clear end in sight.
Today we are going to be talking with Josh Rush from Echelon design, about how he quickly pivoted to create Surreal Events which is a virtual events company that is using some pretty impressive tech to bring events back.
