Wordpress runs a lot of the internet websites out there and makes it a massive target for hackers because they can find small security holes and then automatically apply them to millions of websites. In this episode I'll talk a bit about my own experiences, my recommendations for hosting websites and what I'm doing for my business websites.

Preparation is my key to successful negotiations. Don't ever go into a tough discussion unprepared as this will often end in emotions being thrown around the room and possibly end without a resolution. Define a spectrum of compromises you're willing to accept, but know your limits and when to pull out of negotiations, when to postpone and let everyone cool off and come back to the table later.

In 2015 I set out to find some peace and quiet in the Irish countryside as I was in the middle of my first founder adventure. Realizing change caused a boost in productivity, I started traveling more, spending months at a time in different countries all the while working on three companies until February this year when I decided to try a new experiment.

No, I'm not talking about my children, but rather this episode is about different approaches I apply to Innovote which launched recently and MailMerge365 which is almost a year old now. The focus on things that don't scale in the beginning both in support and sales, handling feature requests and adding administrative tasks to your backend.

In this episode I talk about my steps starting a new business, from deciding what type of business (solopreneur building a SaaS) and the thoughts that went into that, to finding and testing the idea and finally some first successful sales. Includes some reflections on how my testing was completely flawed and I was more lucky than I realized at the time.
