The sermon distinguishes between the believer's current spiritual state and the future physical redemption, emphasizing that while Christians are born again with eternal life on the inner man, their bodies await adoption. Drawing primarily from Second Corinthians five and Romans eight, the preacher explains that the whole creation groans for deliverance from corruption, mirroring the believer's longing for the resurrection of the body. The text clarifies that salvation is not merely about escaping hell or gaining a home in heaven, but about being made a new creature with life hidden in Christ. It warns against entangling oneself in worldly affairs, urging believers to walk by faith and rest in the assurance of the Spirit's witness. Ultimately, the message offers comfort through the promise that death leads immediately to being present with the Lord, securing an eternal hope beyond the dissolution of the earthly tabernacle.

The sermon explores the biblical definition of hope as confident waiting rather than mere wishing, grounding this concept in Titus 3:7. It argues that true hope is built on the solid foundation of justification by God's grace through faith in Jesus Christ, distinct from human performance. The message distinguishes between our current position as heirs and the future possession of eternal life, emphasizing that believers must trust in God's reliability rather than their own circumstances. By examining the basis, nature, and end of hope, the preacher encourages the audience to anchor their lives in the character and actions of God. This theological framework provides a secure and enduring confidence for living godly lives amidst an uncertain world.
