Through hard work, she was able to embark on an exciting career trajectory from an engineer to Business executive at Siemens, HP, Sun aka Oracle, Yesmail, eBay, and Visa, and now PayActiv. Kranthi Meka received a Bachelor of Technology degree from Nagarjuna University as well as a Master of Technology degree from Jadavpur University. We are very excited to have her join us today to learn more about her experience in FinTech!

Emalee is currently at Goral Trading Company and has been working as an FX/Equities trader since January 2020. Prior to this experience, Emalee was a portfolio management analyst at Hall Capital Partners, where she gained experience helping clients reach their financial goals. In addition, Emalee was a co-founder and vice president of Hardline Capital, a business community-driven to empower women and minorities to achieve their personal and professional goals. Emalee graduated in 2019 from Hofstra University with a B.S. in Mathematical Finance. She later would go on to work towards a master's degree in Computational and Applied Mathematics from Johns Hopkins Whiting School of Engineering. We are so excited to have Emalee share her experience in quantitative trading and finance with us.

Izabel is the CEO and Co-Founder of Arnie, a digital portfolio and client relationship manager for investment advisors. Arnie uses an automated, data-driven process to help advisors align their clients' wealth with their personal values, at scale. Izabel's eyes were first opened to the world of impact investing while servicing high net worth clients as an investment manager at Sepio Capital. She managed over $1.5 billion in client assets and spent much of her time mission-aligning portfolios. She realized the tools available to an advisor to execute a complete roadmap to values alignment were lacking, so she set off to build a better solution herself. Izabel believes there shouldn't be barriers to investing in what you believe in - whether that's supporting equitable pay, divesting from weapons, or reducing fossil fuel emissions.

This week’s guest speaker is Duncan Wells. Duncan is currently the Chief Investment Officer of his own private wealth management advisory firm. Prior to founding his own family office, he joined Liquid Financial USA (the US JV of a Japanese Digital Asset Exchange) as Head of Strategy, focused on US go-to-market strategy, product offerings, and the competitive landscape. Duncan spent the early part of his career as a management consultant focused on Pharmaceutical R&D strategy and M&A at Deloitte. After getting his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management, he founded a research and advisory group – called Bear Market Valuations – that focused on identifying compelling Digital Asset investment opportunities. We are very excited to have him join us to talk about his experience with investments and asset management.

Previously, Emily created and instructed a Quantitative Trading class at UC Berkeley to bridge the gap between theoretical and practical knowledge. She also worked at Industry Ventures, Square 1 Bank, and Dipsea Capital, where she helped teams identify investment opportunities and evaluate both private and public companies.
