This week at G3 we heard from Andy Tuttle, the Director of Student Ministries from Mt. Tabor United Methodist. Andy talks about something we can all relate to during this time, New Year's Resolutions and how they can be difficult to keep.

On the fourth Sunday of Advent we anticipate the coming of Jesus and celebrate the peace that His arrival brings. Ron compares Paul's letter to the Philippians and the shepherds that were told the good news in Luke. The shepherds were obedient to God's invitation and said "yes" with their feet which sparked the news of Jesus' arrival on earth. In the same way, we are reminded to say "yes" to God everyday.

On this third Sunday of Advent, join us as Randy Blanchard, Church Vitality Strategist for the Western NC United Methodist Conference, shares a new take on a potentially familiar passage - Jesus returning sight to a blind man. Randy suggests we must first become 'blind' (forgetting what we think we know about God and what God is up to) so we then can 'see' (be aware of God's actual work in the world)

On the Second Sunday of Advent Ron continues with the Down to Earth sermon series. This week we focused on humility by looking at Paul's letter to the Philippians, Mary's song, as well as Mr. Roger's life!

On this first Sunday of Advent, Ron shares a less typical sermon from the second chapter of Philippians, about the biggest threat to the church. It's not Starbucks holiday cups, but disunity and forgetting to put others' needs and interests before our own.

Ron continues with his sermon series "Creed" focusing on the lines about Jesus Christ, the Son. He calls this portion of the Apostles' Creed the 'core of our core as Christians', as it lays out the essentials of the gospel - Jesus was born, died, and raised again.

Today, Ron begins his sermon series entitled 'Creed'. In this sermon, he explains the importance of the first line of the Apostles' Creed: We believe in God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth.
