God has spoken to the people of Israel through the Written Word and the Prophets; and, as mentioned in the book of Hebrews, in the last days by his Son, Jesus, who is the radiance of his Glory and the very image of his Presence. Jesus manifests himself on Mount Tabor, transfiguring himself before Peter, James and John (the first pillars of the church) and they appear with Moses and Elijah representing the Law and the Prophets. Jesus is the only one who prevails over Elijah and Moses, and, furthermore, the Father responds to Peter by stating that: Jesus is his Son, his beloved and we must listen to him.

Dios ha hablado al pueblo de Israel a través de la Palabra Escrita y de los Profetas; y, tal como se menciona en el libro de Hebreos, en los últimos días por su Hijo, Jesús, quien es el resplandor de Su Gloria y la misma imagen de Su Presencia. Jesús se manifiesta en el monte Tabor, transfigurándose delante de Pedro, Santiago y Juan (primeros pilares de la iglesia) y aparecen con el Moisés y Elías en representación de la Ley y de los Profetas. Jesús es el único que prevalece por encima de Elías y Moisés, y, además, El Padre responde a Pedro afirmándonos que: Jesús es Su Hijo Amado y a El debemos escuchar.

Podemos tener diferentes ideas de lo que significa estar en manos de Dios. A veces podemos creer que Sus manos son fuertes y nos castigan por las cosas hechas, pero Dios es un Dios amoroso y cuanto más lo conocemos, más entendemos que Él es rápido para perdonar y lento para la ira.

Estamos en manos de un Dios amoroso.

We may have different ideas of what it means to be in the hands of God. Sometimes we may believe that His hands are strong and punish us for things done, but God is a loving God and the more we know Him the more we understand that He is quick to forgive and slow to anger.

We are in the hands of a loving God.
