Galveston Island Film Festival and Conference (GIFF-CON) founder Sherrill Hilton stopped by the Galveston Experience Company to let us know the many activities to be held at the Festival and Conference this October 4th - 7th. 

A BOI, Sherrill is in her 2nd year with the film festival and this year is bigger and better than ever with more films, speakers, conference sessions, and NEW this year is a Location Tour.  Tickets and more information available at www.giff-con.com

Great progress on refurbishing the beach this week starting at 61st street and heading West.  As of this writing they were up to about 69th street.  

BEATLES FANS will be gathering Saturday night at Saengerfest Park on the Strand for the FAB FIVE Tribute Band.  Paul Anka also in town at the Grand 1894 Opera House, and the Harvest Moon Labyrinth Wak at 17th and Seawall.

Weather has been fantastic all weekend and will continue through the weekend, and traffic on the Seawall, beaches and around town is lighter after the madness of the last summer weekend.  At the Galveston Experience Company we've noticed the visitor profiles have gone from outside of Texas and the USA to much closer in-state Houston, Austin, Dallas visitors.
