In many ways, Twin Cities sports is pretty interconnected, even after the days of “regionality” have long passed us by.  Eric and Larry do their best to keep those bonds together, hosting this week’s program from the Downtown Minneapolis studio.  Someone with deep ties to the Vikings is coming home for another battle against the Purple.  Larry Fitzgerald, Jr. describes the feeling of this particular homecoming.  Legendary safety Paul Krause keeps his ties here strong, and he sits down for a few minutes with us.  GDG’s Tom Tuttle tries to find a silver lining after the firing of hometown hero Paul Molitor.  The Timberwolves hope to hold the team together after more intriguing actions from Jimmy Butler.  And our hosts look ahead to Vikings-Cardinals and Gophers-Buckeyes.

Segment 5: Now that Paul Molitor is out, who should the Twins go after to become the next manager.  Phil Miller sticks around to let us know if a minority candidate could be in play.  After that, they dive into the MLB Playoffs.  Is Cleveland the scariest team in the AL?  Would it make sense for the Chicago Cubs to fire Joe Maddon after their disappointing finish?

Segment 4: There will be new leadership in the Twins’ dugout next season.  Minneapolis Star-Tribune beat writer Phil Miller joins the program to discuss the firing of manager Paul Molitor.  Did he see this coming?  How much did the flurry of personnel moves effect the clubhouse?

Segment 3: Going into October, only one team is winless on the NFL season.  What’s going wrong with the 0-4 Arizona Cardinals?  Will any other team ever go undefeated for a full NFL season?  And our guys give their top five teams at the quarter pole.
