Welcome back to Wednesdays, party people! To celebrate, we are also live on our GameHounds Edie, Nick, and Goalie return to a mid-week show with reckless abandon, with a final full review of Greedfall and an initial impressions of Borderlands 3. It's a day to celebrate!
It's Edie's first week of freedom, and she's been elbow deep in Greedfall. We talk about the new RPG, plus Nick is late (surprise!) and, of course, there's news. Enjoy.
We're rested and recovered from PAX West 2019, and we're ready to get our talk on. Nick and Edie review our best (and worst) of what we saw and played in Seattle last week.
Edie and Nick talk monster Hunter World Iceborne, Predator: Hunting Grounds, Phantom Brigade, Psychonauts 2, and the rest of the games we touched on our final day of PAX.
Finally! A digital DnD campaign game that feels like playing a real campaign! We got some time with Lennon Lange of Reverb Communications and spokesperson for Solasta: The Crown of the Magister to talk about how this game was designed to keep the spirit of DnD while playing solo and about the Kickstarter that will allow it to expand past its already-promising base game.
Edie and Nick get some hands-in time with Cosmoteer, spaceship construction and battle simulator. Think Sim City, if your cities were in space and could battle each other. They speak with designer Walt Destler of Walternate Realities about the title, due out in 2020 but with a pre-alpha build on Steam now.
Edie and Nick speak with Radosław Maciag from Anshar Studios about Gamedec, a isometric adaptive mystery RPG where players solve crimes committed in virtual reality. Due out in 2020, it's a game to watch.
As listened requested! Edie and Nick speak with Nate Simpson, creative director of Kerbal Space Program 2 about changes in the upcoming sequel, including space stations, console UI changes, multiplayer, and an easier entry for new players
