Well we made it to the end of 2016, and I’m sure nothing bad will happen in 2017 so we can all feel really relieved and happy, right? So why not join Rob and his lovely, long-suffering wife Meg as they celebrate the new year in style by drinking wine, nibbling hors d’oeuvres and reminiscing on the year that was. What could be more laid back than an Australian summer? Nothing! So we decided to follow suit and do a very laid back podcast for you. So there’s no format, just a married couple chatting for a little less than an hour about the Lego Harry Potter HD remaster for the Playstation 4, plus our personal highlights in 2016 and our plans for 2017. And because there’s no AC in this episode, it’s 25% less funny than normal but 2000% less insufferable, so it kind of balances out.

That's right, you know you need it baby. Rob gives a very accurate and factually correct explanation of the rules of cricket, AC gives us the origin story of cricket, and we both share our views of the glorious Australian tradition of watching grown men hit a ball with a stick in the sweltering heat of an Australian summer. In our Game/Life Balance segment we discuss holiday plans: Rob will be spending the holidays in Canberra because he is broke as a joke, while AC is travelling back to Japan to enjoy a traditional weird Japanese Christmas just like the baby Jeebers intended. It's time to put the pedal to the metal and get your rear in gear because this week our featured game is the one and only Daytona USA! The boys take us on a trip to the arcade to discuss this hallowed classic, but does it hold up today? Why does AC keep singing the theme music? And is Rob's dislike for racing games a symptom of his rejection of the traditional male gender role? Or does he just suck at driving cars? All these questions and more are answered in this episode - except for the AC singing one, there's no explanation for that at all. Also in this episode, AC is afraid of forgetting what boobs look like, Rob took a week off work and got handy around the house (a terrifying concept), the Baileys spend $3000 on a whim, TV size comparisons, AC gets symphonic in the night, and finally we share some rather sad news for the Yoshimura family. But don't worry because we also have a quiz about racing games, plus a really really fun segment where we literally just play an N-Gage for 15 minutes. It's literally the worst idea we've ever had.
