Stitch isn’t the only character at Disneyland that is new. Phineas and Pherb are meeting and greeting in the Hollywood Backlot. Agent P joins them on Saturdays only. Last year a new PhotoPass experience premiered at the resort. PhotoPass Excursions are back again! The excursions are 8-15 minute private photo shoots with PhotoPass photographers in Adventureland, Frontierland, Main Street, and Fantasyland. Last week, we reported on the music box-style music in the esplanade to go along with the sculpture. This week, the slower music box music has been replaced with a mix of classic Disneyland music, and vocal tracks from the Disneyland 70th celebration. Even with the Disneyland 70th in nearly full swing, there are still some construction projects happening around the resort. Matterhorn Mountain is getting some pretty extensive track and rock work completed, the Enchanted Tiki Room, along with the Tiki Juice Bar are both behind walls for refurbishment. Mendocino Terrace in Disney California Adventure is still being worked on, while outside in Downtown Disney, Earl of Sandwich is coming along quickly now, and the old Tortilla Jo’s is all but leveled. – https://www.micechat.com/416185-disneyland-update-parades-parties-patriotism-as-summer-starts/

The Little Man of Disneyland, Patrick Begorra, is setting off to another land in the park. Patrick is being celebrated at Club 33 with his own menu. He is going on a “Royal Adventure” to New Orleans Square where the menu features cocktails representing the five original lands. The Watchlight, and the Strawberry Streetcar for Main Street, Flights of Enchantment for Fantasyland, Amber Waves of Tea for Frontierland, Neverending Tomorrow for Tomorrowland, and Uncharted Nature for Adventureland. There are also some food options for each of the lands as part of the 70th celebration. For Memorial Day in the United States, Disneyland had a few ways to honor the people who gave their lives in service to the country. Tables have been setup around the resort for fallen soldiers, with an empty place setting, reminding guests of the soldiers who did not make it home. The Flag Retreat ceremony in Town Square was larger then usual to honor the day.
