Gaming Tangents

Nintendo has finally dropped some more Switch goodness on the world and we're dedicating a whole episode to discussing what's worth making the Switch for.  The pros, the cons and concerns...and maybe some phat raps as well. Who knows. It's big, it's massive it's long....it's the Gaming Tangents podcast!

The boys are back for 2017 with a list of dreams and aspirations for the future. What sort of games would we like to see announced in this new year? We also go over some recent news and Maverick FINALLY makes his ultimate decision on a divisive movie.

Menji and Maverick decide to wing it whirlwind style and see what happens. Do they give a late term review on Mighty No9? Do they tangent off into Star Wars and Oprah? Maybe the Muppets? The answer is F: Probably all of the above.

Tis the season for Gaming Tangents to make more enemies with low tier celebrities and, of course, Kanye West. Eventually, we get back around to videogames but not before giving out impressions of the Spiderman Homecoming trailer. From there we do our best to beat the cynics and predict what complaints they'll hurl at the Nintendo Switch. Konami makes the podcast again and Maverick finally gives his impressions of the Resident Evil 7 demo. Let's get N 2 gether now.

Menji's back from vacation to join Maverick in discussing the massive news dump that was both The Game Awards and PSX. If that wasn't enough, Maverick also gives a last minute plea for people to consider the Wii U this holiday season before it goes away for good.

It's time for a new segment on the show that I'm called "Maverick's Hot Mic". On this first edition of "Maverick's Hot Mic" Maverick takes a local retail chain to task for participating in the mass flagrant scalping of the new NES Mini. After that, we delve into the newsbag to talk Hideo Kojima and The Game Awards nominees. Let's get to it!

A country divided. Friends and families torn apart. The decisions we made will shape the future of our society. Were you Nintendo? Or were you Sega? It's time for another retrospective episode as we look back on The Big One: The 16bit Console Wars.

Happy Halloween! Our spooky series concludes with another look at video game based movies this time with a focus on horror and a special guest! Will the show be able to contain the might of three awesome people. Find out!

The Spookiness slithers on as Macabre Menji and Mangy Maverick discuss some of their favorite haunted house levels in video games! But before that, even Halloween can't ignore the giant sized news that is the debut of the Nintendo Switch. What is it? How is it? Do we care? (spoiler: of course we do) About the only thing spookier than this episode are some of the technical difficulties we found out about after recording. Do forgive the audio issues in this episode.

Halloween rolls on and this time, we're delving deep into our favorite video game monsters! It's a frighteningly good time! Almost as scary as Maverick's impromptu review of M. Night Shyamalan's The Visit. BBBoooooOOOooooOOOooo
