It's the beginning of the Halloween season and we come out the gate with a very topical discussion on the effects of Five Nights at Freddy's on us and the video game landscape as a whole. Menji also finds some hidden treasures and Maverick reminisces on a classic after going on a musical journey. Don't worry: at no time will this show be stooping to any cheap jump-scare tricks.

The boys talk about some memorable games that, despite initial impressions, ended up being surprisingly great games to play, including: Saturn Bomberman, Dragon Warrior II and Solstice. Menji also checks out a surprisingly good mobile Final Fantasy game. It's a surprising surprise on a surprisingly surprising episode.

So the PS4 Pro was announced. I guess we'll talk about that. But seeing as how that doesn't warrant an entire show we'll also talk about Bloodstained delays and we bring back some more therapy for Maverick and delve deep into his inner-animosity (or is it animality?) towards DLC and digital game libraries.

Sometimes games don't live up to what they cracked themselves up to be. Menji and Maverick talk about these games, all of them (not all of them) but not before giving a run down of the new Battlefield 1 open beta and Maverick's weekly KoF round-up. Is that a pun?
