It's the beginning of the Halloween season and we come out the gate with a very topical discussion on the effects of Five Nights at Freddy's on us and the video game landscape as a whole. Menji also finds some hidden treasures and Maverick reminisces on a classic after going on a musical journey. Don't worry: at no time will this show be stooping to any cheap jump-scare tricks.

The boys talk about some memorable games that, despite initial impressions, ended up being surprisingly great games to play, including: Saturn Bomberman, Dragon Warrior II and Solstice. Menji also checks out a surprisingly good mobile Final Fantasy game. It's a surprising surprise on a surprisingly surprising episode.

So the PS4 Pro was announced. I guess we'll talk about that. But seeing as how that doesn't warrant an entire show we'll also talk about Bloodstained delays and we bring back some more therapy for Maverick and delve deep into his inner-animosity (or is it animality?) towards DLC and digital game libraries.

Sometimes games don't live up to what they cracked themselves up to be. Menji and Maverick talk about these games, all of them (not all of them) but not before giving a run down of the new Battlefield 1 open beta and Maverick's weekly KoF round-up. Is that a pun? I think so. Pun Acheivement...acheived. Added correction- When mentioning "Shining in the Darkness" (great game) Menji is actually talking about "Shining the Holy Ark" (not so great game)

It's finally arrived! Maverick gives his review of The King of Fighters XIV! Does it do justice to the revitalization of the KoF franchise? Or does it simply fall flat as another cheap attempt to slap polygons on a beloved 2D fighter? After that, Menji and Maverick wax ideas on games they would love to see as movies only DONE RIGHT! Never thought we'd be doing this but we're talking about Konami again! Unfortunately, not for any good reason. Watch as they smash holes in their ship and fail to plug leaks. Meanwhile, we also talk about The King of Fighters XIV, games we delayed so they wouldn't end and Soul Calibur memories.

Menji returns from his near-month-long trip to Japan with a trip report on all the geeky things he experienced in the of Godzilla and Udon. Talking about retro game hunting, old arcade games, oh, and something called Pocket Man Goes. Then Maverick gives his thoughts on the Ghostbusters remake. Hold your trigger fingers till the end please.
