DwD 0446: Is Perfection Keeping You From Starting

On this episode we talk about what we see as the second most frequent issue that we see that keeps people from going on track or from autocrossing etc. That is the pursuit of perfection in preparation. We go over the base level of driving and car preparation to get started and several of the most frequent "reasons" that the person can't start until its done. This includes big brake kits, turbo additions, engine swaps, racing slicks, and many, many others. (The most prominent reason that we see is that the person did not know it was possible. Since you ae reading this, you likely know that everyone is welcome to come out and get started.)

GHiT 0445: Nik Romano from Fast Sideway – Suspension 101 – Part 2

We started our introduction to suspensions on episode 430 with Nik Romano. Nik rejoins for part 2 and we move on from suspension geometry and start to deal with the most important aspect of a suspension by shifting our focus to the interaction of the tire with the track. We go into a simple way to test how/if your suspension geometry changes are during its travel up and down (compression and rebound). We then go into some of the different types of fixed and adjustable coil overs and how they are constructed and work within the suspension system. We even begin to get into how you can use the suspension to increase grip and then to start to shift the grip around within your car to aid your driving.

We answer the question that has puzzled us since the beginning "why would you want a rear wing on a front wheel drive car"?
