The Catholic and Protestant doctrine of God being a "three in one" God and each component, the Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit, each being a "one in three" is completely false and pagan. What is the motive of God's work on earth at this time? Money making? Absolutely not. The Sabbath keeping Intercontinental Church of God and the Garner Ted Armstrong Evangelistic Association follow Christ's edict, "Freely have you received, freely give." However the Work of God, the twin commissions to the church, to preach the Gospel to the world and to feed the flock obviously requires funds. Those funds come from members of God's church and from members of the public who voluntarily decide to donate. Neither the Church of God, the Intercontinental Church of God, nor the GTAEA begs for money, does not request money. Never has, never will. God provides and the Work of preaching a warning message and feeding the flock is done to the extent funds allow. Just as in Jeremiah's day. And Jeremiah never converted anyone. But he faithfully carried out God's directions and will.
