Polkadot is a next-generation blockchain protocol that unites an entire network of purpose-built blockchains, allowing them to operate seamlessly together at scale. It was founded by Dr. Gavin Wood alongside co-founders Peter Czaban and Robert Habermeier in 2016.

While Kusama is wild and fast, Polkadot is more conservative, prioritizing stability and dependability, with slower, more methodical governance and upgrade processes. Kusama is great for bold experimentation and early-stage deployment, and Polkadot is designed for stable execution of risk-averse, high-value applications.

By bringing together the best features from multiple specialized blockchains, Polkadot paves the way for new decentralized marketplaces to emerge, offering fairer ways to access services through a variety of apps and providers. Polkadot’s design offers several distinct advantages over existing and legacy networks, including heterogeneous sharding, scalability, upgradeability, transparent governance, and cross-chain composability.

Polkadot Official: https://polkadot.network/

And now to its token, over one hundred million DOT (106m, representing a whopping 9% of total supply) has been locked up for two years in order to lease out these first few slots. And with the extensive testing done on the Rococo testnet, all five parachains on Polkadot hit the ground running, producing blocks the moment that their slot went live.

Six further auctions are underway, which began on 23rd of December, 2021, and will finish on March 10th, 2022. According to Gavin Wood, barring any technical issues, auctions are to continue largely unabated for 2022.

Polkadot Official: https://polkadot.network/

Ve şimdi, yüz milyondan fazla DOT (toplam arzın %9'unu temsil eden 106 milyon) bu ilk birkaç slotu kiralamak için iki yıl boyunca kilitlendi. Rococo test ağında yapılan kapsamlı testler ile Polkadot'taki beş parachain'in tamamı, Slotların yayına girdiği anda bloklar üreterek zemine oturdu.

Polkadot Official: https://polkadot.network/
