El 22 de noviembre de 2021, Kusama anunció la conclusión de la 15ª subasta de slots de parachain con Genshiro como ganador. El 10% de los tokens se ha distribuido inmediatamente tras el éxito de la campaña de crowdloan, el resto de los GENS se otorgará de forma lineal a lo largo de la duración del alquiler de la slot（48 semanas).

Genshiro es una red canaria de Equilibrium. Al igual que Kusama es una red canaria de Polkadot, los nuevos productos de la blockchain de Equilibrium se probarán en su red canaria: Genshiro. 

El proyecto DeFi Equilibrium, basado en Polkadot, incluye un mercado de divisas y una plataforma DEX de crosschain o cadena cruzada. On November 22, 2021, Kusama announced the conclusion of the 15th parachain slot auction with Genshiro as the winner. 10% of tokens has been distributed immediately upon a successful crowdloan campaign, the rest of the GENS will be vested linearly over the course of slot lease duration (48 weeks).

Genshiro is a Canary network to Equilibrium. Just like Kusama is a canary network to Polkadot, new products on the Equilibrium blockchain are to be tested on its canary network – Genshiro. 

The Polkadot-based DeFi project Equilibrium includes a currency market and a cross-chain DEX platform. Genshiro, on the other hand, is a Kusama-based DeFi one-stop shop with the promise to do everything that the current DeFi primitives can do, but has lesser risk and cross-chain support.

Genshiro consolidates various functions and products of the DeFi world — such as lending, synthetic assets, margin trading and decentralized exchanges (DEX) — into a single platform. Genshiro also enables cross-chain interoperability, which bridges blockchain networks, creates opportunities for multi-currency DeFi tools, and enables users to transfer funds between various blockchains with little to no friction.

There are 10 GENS tokens for every 1 EQ (Equilibrium’s native token). So given the EQ initial supply of 120 million, the total GENS supply on Kusama is 1.2 billion tokens. Kusama es a menudo llamada una red canaria para Polkadot. Antiguamente , existía la creencia entre los mineros del carbón de que los canarios servían como advertencia de los peligros que se avecinaban. Kusama is often called a canary network for Polkadot. In the past, there was a belief among coal miners that canaries served as a warning for dangers ahead. In this sense, Kusama is an early, unaudited and unrefined release of Polkadot created to test the network’s technology and economic incentives in a real-world environment.

Parachains are Kusama’s advanced, next-generation blockchains that bring several breakthroughs compared to legacy networks. They are Layer-1 blockchain equivalents designed specifically to run a certain DApp or group of DApps and can be customized for any use and leverage the main relay chain for security.

Parachains connect to Kusama by leasing a parachain slot via auction. Parachain slots can be leased for up to 1 year at a time with the option to renew and grant the parachain continuous connection to the network for the duration of the lease. It is estimated that there can be up to 100 support parachains and they will be auctioned again when their lease period ends.

The KSM plays a key role in maintaining and operating the Kusama network. There is no capped supply of KSM. Rather, new KSM tokens are expected to be released in perpetuity, at a predetermined inflation rate. KSM holders can use their tokens to validate transactions, launch a parachain, pay for transaction fees, nominate validators and vote on governance proposals.
