AW Tozer says that "the Christian owes it to the world to be supernaturally joyful." Joy is not a circumstantial issue, it's an "US" issue. There is joy in the midst of life's challenges, and the result is a divine strength and enablement to overcome life's pains, losses and setbacks. Joy does not deny grief, sorrow or loss, but is an expression of God's eternal and relevant goodness in the place of pain. Jesus burst into the scene of suffering to bring hope, life, joy and peace. Romans 15:13 promises a God of Hope will fill you with ALL JOY and PEACE as you believe. So what is joy in the context of believing? Take a look and expect God to put a smile on your face.
