God has been in the business of provision since creation.  God met the needs of Abraham, where He received the name Jehovah Jireh, when He provided a ram for the sacrifice. Genesis 22:14 says, “So Abraham called that place The Lord Will Provide. And to this day it is said, ‘On the mountain of the Lord it will be provided.’” The death of Jesus on Calvary's hill was God's ultimate provision for our greatest need. Jesus is Jehovah Jireh, our great provider. He is able to provide forgiveness for our sins and meet our daily needs and the needs of those around us (Matthew 6:31-33).

Jesus’ miraculous deliverance of the possessed boy occurs after the Transfiguration (Mark 9:2-13), where Peter, James, and John witnessed Jesus’ divine glory. Upon descending from the mountain, they find the other disciples who are unable to exorcise a demon from a boy. This event, found in Mark 9:14-29, highlights Jesus’ authority over evil spirits and the necessity of faith.

Miracles of physical healing are perhaps the most common among all of Jesus’ miraculous work. The Bible frequently notes throughout Jesus’ ministry that he “healed the sick.” Join us for this message about understanding more about Jesus' healing and how we can pray for healing for ourselves, and for others.
