Do you ever tell God you trust Him… while simultaneously trying to control every single detail? 😅
As moms, we're used to being the ones who figure it out. We make the plans, carry the mental load, anticipate everyone's needs, and try to make sure everything, and everyone is okay.
But what happens when we can't figure it out?
In this episode, we're talking about returning to childlike faith and learning to trust our Heavenly Father the way our children trust us.
I'm sharing a simple moment from a rainy Texas drive with my kids that completely changed the way I thought about trust. While I was watching the road, thinking ahead, and figuring out how to get us home safely, my kids weren't worried about any of it.
They trusted the person driving.
And maybe that's exactly what some of us need to remember right now.
Jesus isn't asking us to know every turn in the road. He isn't asking us to figure out exactly how the story ends before we trust Him.
He's asking us to trust the Father who already sees the entire road.
We're talking about what Jesus meant when He told us to become like little children, why surrender feels so difficult when we're used to being in control, and how to trust God's “no,” “not yet,” and “I have something different” answers.
Because childlike faith isn't ignorance.
It's confident dependence on a Father you know is good.
You don't have to figure everything out.
You don't have to know what happens next.
And you don't have to carry tomorrow today.
You just get to trust the One who already knows.
Scripture: Matthew 18:2–4, Proverbs 3:5–6 & Romans 8:28
🤎 A question to sit with this week:
What area of my life am I saying I trust God with while still trying to control the outcome?
And one more:
If I truly believed my Father could see what I can't see, what would I finally be willing to release?
🙏 Prayer:
Father, restore our childlike faith. Teach us to trust You before we understand You. Help us loosen our grip on the things we've been trying to control and remind us that we don't have to know everything to know that You are good. Amen.

If we don't intentionally teach our kids what is true, the world will gladly do it for us.
Our children are constantly being discipled by something, social media, friends, trends, brands, entertainment, school, sports, and the culture around them. As Christian parents, we have to ask ourselves:
Who is shaping the loudest voice in our children's lives?
In this episode, we're talking about raising kids who don't just know about Jesus, but know who they are because of Jesus.
We're digging into the power of our words and what Scripture says about the tongue in Proverbs 18:21 and James 3. And this isn't only about how we speak to our children. It's also about how we speak about ourselves in front of them.
They hear us criticize our bodies.
They hear what we say about money.
They watch what we value.
They notice what we chase.
And whether we realize it or not, we are teaching them what matters.
We're also talking about the pressure to keep up with culture the clothes, brands, appearances, schedules, money, status, and constant comparison and why our kids need to learn that their identity and worth were never supposed to come from any of it.
Christian parenting isn't about raising perfect kids or being perfect parents. It's about intentionally pointing our children back to truth, grace, conviction, and Jesus again and again.
Let's raise kids who know what they believe, know why they believe it, and aren't afraid to stand firm when culture tells them something different.
Scripture: Proverbs 18:21 & James 3
🤎 A question to sit with this week:
What are my children learning that is important, not because of what I tell them, but because of what they see me prioritize?
And maybe the harder question:
Is Jesus simply something we talk about in our home, or is He actually at the center of how we live?

What if you gave God one intentional hour a week?
Not another hour of scrolling. Not another hour trying to keep up with everything and everyone. Just intentional time in Scripture, prayer, and community with women who want to know Jesus more.
More than 2,000 women have said yes to Bible Study in Gather the Gals Ministry, and this episode is the heart behind why I keep building it.
Gather the Gals was never supposed to be about having the perfect Bible study routine or knowing all the right answers. I wanted to create the kind of community I desperately needed myself: real women, real life, real conversations, and Jesus at the center of it all.
In this episode, we're talking about why biblical community matters, what happens when we stop comparing our walk with Jesus to everyone else's, and how obedience often begins with one really small yes.
You don't have to have hours every day.
You don't have to know your Bible cover to cover.
You don't have to have your life together.
You just have to be willing to show up.
Because success isn't looking like the woman beside you. It isn't followers, money, accomplishments, or having a picture perfect life.
Success is knowing Jesus, following Him, making disciples, and faithfully using what He's placed in your hands.
And sometimes that starts with something as simple as setting aside one hour and saying:
“Jesus, I'm here. Teach me.”
🤎 A question to sit with this week:
What small yes is God putting in front of me right now?

Have you ever had God close a door that wasn't bad?
It was comfortable. It was safe. Maybe you even loved it. But deep down, you knew God was asking you to loosen your grip.
In this episode, I'm sharing the very personal story behind walking away from my pediatric nursing career after 10 years and why sometimes the hardest things to surrender aren't the bad things. They're the good things we've started depending on for security.
I'm taking you back to where Gather the Gals began: postpartum, COVID, anxiety, loneliness, and a quiet prompting from God that if I couldn't find the community I desperately needed, maybe He was asking me to create it.
But the vision didn't happen overnight.
Years passed. Babies came. Life changed. I continued nursing. Gather continued growing. And eventually I found myself trying to carry motherhood, work, ministry, family schedules, and a calling I knew God was asking me to take seriously.
Then the door started closing.
And I had to decide: Do I keep fighting to hold onto something good because it makes me feel safe, or trust the God asking me to let it go?
If you're in a season where God seems to be closing a door before showing you what's on the other side, this episode is for you.
Scripture: Joshua 1:9
🤎 A question to sit with this week:
Is there something good I'm holding onto because it makes me feel secure, even though God may be asking me to release it?
And remember: delay does not mean the dream was wasted. God can use every season leading up to your yes.

What If the Delay Is God’s Protection, Not Rejection?
What do you do when you thought life would look completely different by now?
You prayed. You planned. You believed God was leading you in a certain direction, and then came the closed door, the diagnosis, the disappointment, the unanswered prayer, or another season of waiting.
In this episode, we’re talking about what it looks like to trust God when His timeline doesn’t match yours and you can’t understand why He hasn’t moved yet.
We’ll dig into John 10:10 and the reality that the enemy wants to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came so that we could have life and have it abundantly.
And sometimes what feels like rejection may actually be God's protection. Sometimes the closed door is redirection. Sometimes the waiting season is doing something in you that you couldn't see while you were begging God to get you out of it.
Your setback does not mean God has abandoned the story.
Your disappointment does not mean He isn't good.
And your delay does not automatically mean His answer is no.
God sees what you cannot see. He knows what's behind the door you're asking Him to open. He knows what you're not ready for yet. He knows what needs to happen first. And He knows exactly how this chapter fits into the story He's writing.
Scripture: John 10:10
🤎 A question to sit with this week:
What if I stopped viewing this waiting season as God withholding something from me and started asking Him what He wants to show me through it?
And another one worth journaling:
Where have I mistaken God's “not yet” for His rejection?

When the Waiting Season Feels Like the Wilderness
Have you ever looked at your life and thought, “God, I really thought I would be further along by now”?
You thought the prayer would have been answered. The door would have opened. The dream would have grown. The situation would have changed.
But instead… you're still waiting.
In this episode, I’m sharing the story of a flower I planted that took two years to finally bloom and the reminder God gave me through it:
Just because you can't see growth doesn't mean nothing is growing.
Some seasons feel like the wilderness. They're quiet. Uncomfortable. Lonely. And when nothing seems to be changing, it can be easy to assume God isn't moving.
But what if He's doing some of His deepest work under the surface?
We're talking about how to keep trusting God when life isn't unfolding the way you planned, how to recognize the distractions that try to steal your confidence and joy, and why your weakness does not disqualify you from being used by God.
Maybe you don't need to dig up what God planted just because it hasn't bloomed yet.
Maybe you need to keep watering it.
Keep praying.
Keep showing up.
Keep obeying.
Keep believing that God is working—even here.
Because the wilderness isn't proof that God has forgotten you. And a season that looks unproductive to you may be producing something you'll need for where He's taking you next.
Scripture: “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is perfected in weakness.” — 2 Corinthians 12:9
🌸 A question to sit with this week:
What have I been tempted to give up on simply because I haven't seen it bloom yet?
And ask yourself:
What might God be growing beneath the surface of this waiting season?

Amy shares how her severe pregnancy complications, a growing conviction about women’s health, and a calling to serve others turned her story into purpose.
We also discuss the tension many moms feel between calling, family, work, and obedience, and why faith, education, and community matter so much in both motherhood and business.
