This sixth beatitude shows the blessing that looking inward and taking inventory of the dark regions of our heart that we receive of the wholesome and health-giving grace since we will be free from self-righteousness and arrogance.

This beatitude of Blessed are the Meek hits to the heart of the Gay Pride community.  Poetically, Meek means humility and gentleness of spirit.

As members of the LGBTQ+ community we have experienced the feelings of discrimination, bullying and of being shunned which helps us to have the humility to understand the pain and suffering of others and by letting go of ourselves, we set the example to help them through their pain and sorrow.
