There are eight beatitudes from the Sermon on the Mount as given by Jesus and recorded in the Gospel of Matthew. In this series, the first beatitude is discussed along with its inclusion by the Dalai Lama and in Buddhism as a path to peace and serenity.

The beatitudes were meant not just for a select group but is meant as an outline for a serene life on earth for the LGBTQ+ community as well.

Of all of the virtues discussed in many faiths, love is the crowning jewel.  Love takes us out of ourselves and directly into the other.  

As children, we all live and wonder in the life of fantasy. It is an escape from reality.  It isn’t until we get into our teenage years that we begin to separate fantasy from reality.  We eventually mature into the truth of reality.  Faith requires us to put aside our disbelief based in strength and courage.

Hope is one of the three main virtues important to one's spiritual life.  I discuss how my Creator showed me Hope in action during a very difficult time in my life.

Many awful things are going on in our country right now: the Maxwell scandal and conviction, Joe Manchin coming out of the closet as a Republican,  ex-45 guilty as hell, yet we see evil walking around the halls of Congress and corporate America.

This is a call for the LGBTQ+ community to bring this country back with PRIDE.

Having decided to advertise my podcast on Facebook, I received a message from a straight man who used a vulgar slang term that he apparently wished to create a Bucket List for me.  I chose to pray for him.

We are on the cusp of a new beginning.  It is my hope that this last day of 2021 brings an end to hatred and bigotry that appears to have grown like a cancer towards the LGBTQ+ family and for those different because of their skin color or national origin and like children we learn to behave and respect our planet and its mankind disrespected climate change.

Ice during the winter can bring great danger physically but our spirituality must not become hardened or bitter like ice within ourselves or towards our love for others.

Many years ago, my father told me of the importance of eating pickled Herring, but I chose to do my own thing on New Year's.  That darn fish would affect me the rest of my life.  Trust me, never insult or ignore the power of pickled Herring.
