If we do not know our past; we will never understand our present or our future.  This episode is about my Tennessee mother's life and effect upon my own journey to self-acceptance.

Living in the farm fields of Wisconsin, affectionately known as the Dairy State, I realized I lived in such a protected environment that the outside world did not exist for me.  Society and its resulting cultural struggles were far away in the distance from my mindset.  At that time, my dark passenger of hidden gay sexuality had its own struggles to avoid.

My decision to study to become a Catholic Priest took me on a journey through the Midwest that would forever change me, my sense of spirituality and what it is like to hide my gay sexuality in plain site.

After 70 years as a gay man, facing society's disdain of who God made me, staying healthy and clean including Covid Vaccinations, the Southern GOP woke. What took so long, Y'all???
