Midge specializes in helping her LGBTQIA+ community in their coming out and faith journeys. Midge and her wife, along with their fur babies, enjoy spending time at their mountain cabin, hiking, and being with their friends.

In today's episode I focus on how we will move forward after the election of 2024 with our exhaustion, battle scars, fears, and relationships.  I see the light on the other side of this election, even if, the candidate that stands for democracy doesn't win.  Join me as we look toward the light of a new day and what internal and outward changes may happen as a result of what we have endured.

In today's episode I focus on love.  I talk about the love of my life on our Holy Union Anniversary.... before marriage in our state and across the country gave our queer community the legal right to be marry. I also offer the cautionary truth that this 2024 election has our right to be married on the chopping block... once again.  For now, let's celebrate love, let's celebrate soul connections, and listen in to the early days, read from my memoir, Gay with God, to how my beloved and I met.

  • Meet Abe Gurko!

When Abe Gurko packed his bags and moved from New York City to Hollywood, he wasn’t leaving a career in the fashion industry to chase the usual dream of becoming a movie star. “I wanted to be a mechanic to the machine called celebrity.” He cultivated his skill set working with arguably the coolest woman in Hollywood, Carrie Fisher and acquired an intimate knowledge of the writing process and had a front row seat to the business of show.

His first documentary Louder: The Soundtrack of Change airs on MAX, October 17 and he is in development on Wolf’s Song, a recently discovered piece of music written in a concentration camp as a song of resistance to the Nazis, that is being transformed into a clarion call for social justice today.

Abe is living happily ever after in La La Land with his husband, Shlomi and their dog Alfie.

Today I focus on how my understanding of God has been skewed with a belief from childhood that led me to fear God. Do we need to fear God and is God angry and arbitrarily whacking us when we mess up? Today, I focus on comments and wisdom from the Bible Project Podcast regarding the Character of God and how we are active participants in our lives and our choices.

In today's episode I focus on the events of Hurricane Helene and the question many of us ask during times of devastating trauma, "Where Is God?"  As a country is devastated and lives are lost and we  know it will take a hard time to recover, where is God?  How do we move forward and handle  our own trauma? There is a special section of this podcast dedicated to anyone who has or is feeling suicidal. Please listen to the beginning of this podcast for my reflections.

Today we talk about a passage of scripture in the Gospel of Mark, (Mark 7: 1-8, 14-15, 21-23) that is so relevant today in our walk with God and also the values we hold.  It is introspective, as well as, something relevant to all of us in the world we find ourselves today.
