What do we mean by justification? When God pardons our sin by our faith and His grace, He makes us righteous in Christ who died in our place.

What do we mean by sanctification? When God fashions His image in our hearts deep within, we're made holy and righteous as we die more to sin.

What benefits come if we follow His calling? God grants us adoption and justification and grace to keep growing, that's sanctification.

What do we mean by His gift of adoption? When God adopts us like children, a free gracious act, He gives us His blessings as His family in fact!

How does the Spirit apply this redemption? By granting us faith, though in sin we are falling, He unites us with Christ through His effectual calling. What do we mean by His effectual calling? It is how He'll convince our will and our mind to embrace Christ and leave sin and misery behind.

How may we have Christ's purchased redemption? By His Holy Spirit, Christ opens our eyes to see how He paid for our sin when He died. How does the Spirit apply this redemption? By granting us faith, though in sin we are falling. He unites us with Christ through effectual calling.
