Geek Fights

They said it couldn't be done. WE said it couldn't be done. It probably shouldn't have been done, but we did it anyway. It's time for our giant-size 100th episode extravaganza! This time up it's another excursion into self indulgence that is BEST OF GEEK FIGHTS! Damon Shaw and Mike Ortiz are here as always, but to do this epic battle they have assembled an army of Geek Fighters! First up, Rob Alden, Janet Nowell, Chuck Farrell, Aj Sinke, Michael Felsher, Karin, Jerad Formby, Allen, Chris Mitchell, Brian Townsend, Jason Grade, Anthony Valenta, Josh VanValkenberg, Jason Thompson, Mike Patanjo, Kirky Wade, Mike Diskin, Greg Blanchard, Tim Nowell, Teras Cassidy, Christy Wooke, Greg Trahan, Barry Ingram, Amin Amat, Maria Cuba, Jerod Batte, Paul Kowalski, Jill Valuet, Gary Tognetti, Melvin Ladera, Kathy Lehman, Joe Cain, Tess Craft, Dominic Williams, Leo Perez, Josh Bradley, Chris Wood, Charity Wood, Crazy Joe and John Champion start us off with 64 of the winners of previous shows, then Damon and Mike are joined by the panel from the very first episode, Pete Lucas, Dave Gill and Juan Patino to finish it up and bring you the top of the top. Who will take it all? Who cares! We all just want to hear crazy logic, childhood ramblings, ferocious spite, angry rants and inappropriate comments. And we get them, just like we have 99 times before!

Thank you all for letting us do this!

We go back to the well to one of our very first topics. Join Damon Shaw, Mike Oritz, Juan Patino, Dominic Williams and Mike Patanjo as they revisit the top second bananas with BEST SIDEKICK 2 THE WRATH OF JUAN, although Juan isn't very wrathful, at least I don't think he is, it's hard to tell. Some of the top sidekicks from last time around make strong showings despite a different panel and a different list, but Mike really doesn't.

Chris is lucky enough to live across the pond and he got to see Marvel's Avengers a whole week before us! His review is mostly spoiler free if you have watched the trailers nothing more than that will be spoiled. Enjoy!

Ok, we didn't learn our lesson last year. Here is this year's C2E2 episode recorded with everyone in the same room. It's drunker, it's more chaotic, but it sounds waaaaay better. It's amazing how good real microphones sound compared to a built in speaker on a laptop. Seriously, go back and listen to last years episode. We're always striving to bring you the best even when drunk. Join Damon Shaw, Mike Ortiz, Allen, Brian Townsend, Tess Craft, Kathy Lehman and Joe Cain as the do the BEST FEMALE SUPERHERO. There's lots of arguing and lots of talking over each other. We had a good time doing it, but I'm not promising you'll have a good time listening.

Seriously this is not a good idea for a drinking game.

This one was fun I asked creators and fans to define what a superhero is to them. Do the need superpowers? Do they have to wear a costume? Find out here....still soooo tired.

We are at C2E2, no time for anything clever, (you'll understand when you hear the episodes) Damon Shaw, Mike Ortiz, Christy Wooke, Barry Ingram, Joe Fiore and Jason Thompson discuss BEST OF MST3K.

Since you people are actually using them, Here are the brackets: PDF and Excel format.

We turn our geeky gaze to one of the masters of making geeky goodness. Join Damon Shaw, Mike Ortiz, Michael Felsher, Josh Bradley and Pete Lucas as they discuss the BEST SPIELBERG MOVIE. It's Nazis, annoying children, future worlds, ancient relics, an airport, a shark (not Mike) and a ton of different aliens in a career spanning tribute on one of the greatest film makers of all time.

And it wouldn't be a geek fight without brackets: PDF and Excel format.

Or would it? Seriously does anybody even download these? Anyone? If not let me know. I'm lazy and it's one less things to do for these posts.

Sometime ya gotta sing, sometime ya gotta dance, sometimes ya gotta sit and listen to a bunch of people talking about another bunch of people who are singing and dancing. Join Damon Shaw, Mike Ortiz, Melvin Ladera, Dave Gill, Jill Valuet and Lynn Wheeler (a.k.a. Damon's mom) as the debate the BEST MUSICAL. It's got old standards, new hits and personal favorites. And it has Damon's mom. Mike only talks a little and we find out about Damon's short lived career in the theatre. And it has Damon's mom. Jill still holds a grudge about the "Once More With Feeling" not winning Best Buffy Episode. And it has Damon's mom.

Did I mention Damon's mom?

Here is a link to find some of this stuff on Amazon.

here are the brackets in case Damon's mom wants to download them. PDF and Excel format.

They zig, they zag, they go where no one expects. Join Damon Shaw, Mike Ortiz, Pete Lucas, Josh Van Valkenburg and Maria Cuba as they discuss the BEST TWIST! It's our most surprise (and SPOILER) filled episode yet!

Or is it...

Here are the brackets: PDF and Excel format.

We did the best, we did the worst, now there's no where to go but the middle. Join Damon Shaw, Mike Ortiz, Jerad Formby, Chris Wood, Jerod Batte and Todd Agnello as they discuss the MOST MEDIOCRE STAR TREK EPISODE.

Meh.

Blah, blah, blah, brackets: PDF and Excel format.
