We talk with actor Jordan Claire Robbins. Jordan played the android caregiver of the academy in Season 1 of The Umbrella Academy. In Season 2, she pops up as Grace, the human inspiration for her character in Season 1. Did you follow all of that? Jordan talks about her work on Umbrella Academy and more! Jordan Claire Robbins is a Bermudian-Canadian actress and model. She was born and raised in Bermuda. After graduating high school in 2008, she moved to Toronto to double major in drama and psychology at the University of Toronto. She began modelling and soon fell into acting while in Canada. Jordan is best known for her role as Grace in the Netflix original series The Umbrella Academy. She has also appeared on Supernatural and 12 Monkeys, Man Seeking Woman, and iZombie.
Our review of Spree starring Joe Keery, Sasheer Zamata, David Arquette. Meet Kurt, from @KurtsWorld96 (Joe Keery). He dreams of sitting atop a social media empire, but for now, he drives for the rideshare company Spree. Fortunately, Kurt has come up with the perfect way to go viral: #TheLesson. He’s decked out his car with cameras for a nonstop live stream full of killer entertainment – murdering his passengers. In the middle of all this madness, a stand-up comedian (Sasheer Zamata) with her own viral agenda crosses Kurt’s path and becomes the only hope to put an end to his misguided carnage.
We also talk with radio and television personality (and longtime friend of Geek Hard) Fred Kennedy. Known to many as Fearless Fred, Kennedy talks about his Star Wars fan fiction radio play, Mud 79, available through his Issue Zero podcast. Star Wars, sci-fi, supervillains, you’ll find it all here. What are the Mandalorians? Could we survive a Xenomorph invasion like in Aliens? These are questions that keep Fred Kennedy up at night. He’s a comic book creator, radio personality AND tattooed Jedi master extraordinaire. When he was in Junior High he was stuffed into a locker and remained stuck in there until the janitor cut the lock off and let him out. Public school is awesome!
