Geek Nerdery

Only an absolute fool would put out an episode of a podcast on the Sunday of a holiday weekend… I’m that fool, I guess! I hope all you Geek Nerdery fans dig me trying to inject a little ska into your lives. I may be trying hard to recreate the excitement I always used to get from this sound, so I hope you enjoy it. Thanks for mustering a nostalgic smile for this sentimental fool.

Hope the Easter Bunny brought you lots of candy.  While you’re out searching for Easter Eggs enjoy our Easter Show!!!!  We also chat about Phantasm Ravager, Chopping Mall, Sorority Babes In The Slimeball Bowlarama, Parents, Bone Tomahawk, and Good Time.  Plus your feedback!  Happy Easter Everyone!

The remaining cast heads off to Prague to prepare for the finale. We see them dodge pylons and the stacked men’s team means we kick off some men in maybe unfair ways. The Troika is finally stacked with some females who save some men in a way you may not expect. We find out who the final 8 are that are heading to the final, but when is it and how long will it take? We’ll find out eventually.

We decided to do something a little different this week and we went with some sci-fi films set IN SPAAAAAAACE!  We’ll be talking Critters 4 and Leprechaun 4.  On top of that we chat about Jessica Jones, The Gate, Brawl In Cell Block 99 (yes again), Psycho, and Blood Feast.

What more do we need to say? We’re talking about Super Mario Bros 2. Of course you should listen.

We’re winding down in the season now, so the game is heating up. We see some Challengers stabbing each other in the back, others sticking with their alliances even though it means they’ll get thrown in. 2 people head home and the rest go to the Czech Republic, although we don’t know who until next week.

To celebrate the work of Christina Criswell we decided to check out the movies Critters 3 and Leprechaun 3.  That make up . . .  We end up enjoying one of the movies immensely and the other just so/so.  After that we chat about Fargo, The Poughkipsee Tapes, Veronica, and The Strangers: Prey At Night.  Enjoy!

Technical problems continue to plague the show, but don’t worry. We find a way to deliver a full episode. Devin is still coming down from his nirvana experience, but has a rude awakening and major disappointment. Natalie continues to play everyone’s game except her own, being a pawn that delivers the goods to the last person who holds her attention. And a previous love affair brings about some emotions when the mercenaries show up to take contestants out. Try to ignore the talk about Brad’s hair oils.

Who loves props?  We do.  That’s why this episode we’re celebrating prop maker Michael W. Moore.  We’ll be talking about 2 of our favorite films of his Critters 2 and Leprechaun 2.  So sit back and let’s talk some wrought iron, critterballs, and motorboating a lawnmower.  Also we come with our own sequel to the Leprechaun franchise called Leprechauns.  It’s pretty great.  Also we chat some Brawl In Cell Block 99, Slasher, and Fargo.

After a slight delay, Graveyard Duck is back with one of our most anticipated topics yet, Castlevania Dracula X: Rondo of Blood for the PC Engine Super CD-ROM. This japan only title is considered by many to be the holy grail of Castlevania games. Here what Scott and Wes have to say, and learn why, and how, you can play this masterpiece as well.
