So, this was the movie that The Cinemistress through she was going to review on Day Seven, but it wasn’t available yet. So, for the 10th Day of Cinemistress, she gives you her take on Rebel Moon: Part One – A Child of Fire! This is the PG-13 rated version. The R-rated, “better” version is not due out until early January.

This is Zack Snyder’s latest, and was going to be his Star Wars story. At least, he pitched it to Disney as a Star Wars film. I’m sure he changed enough that it isn’t an obvious Star Wars rip-off,right? RIGHT??

Apparently there was enough time left in 2023 to squeeze in one last superhero movie – Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom! The first Aquaman movie was kind of fun, how bad can the second one be?

Incidentally, the element she does not want to attempt to pronounce is orichalcum. Also, this is the last of this version of the DCU. so hopefully we will never see Mera’s wig again.

The 1971 Willy Wonka movie is one of The Cinemistress’ favorite films, so she went into this with quite a bit of trepidation. Did this new Wonka show her a world of pure imagination, or was it a slog of exasperation? Listen and see!

This is the third of Kenneth Branaugh’s Poirot movies. The Cinemistress loves the works of Agatha Christie, but has been lukewarm on Branaugh’s adaptations. Is the third time a charm? Does Poirot finally use his little, grey cells? Add some honey to your tea and sip while you listen!

Let’s just say that this Godzilla is one of the best and the movie around him is amazingly touching and heartfelt. But don’t be fooled – there is still plenty of mayhem. And the movie is subtitled, so you can boast about how much you love foreign films!
