In the latest episode, I speak with Anthony Stokes on the Earth-16 Comics Wire Podcast about his kickstarter comic "Decay," a story about love, despair, greif, andf revenge." In this late episode, I speak with Serena Sanchez about her comic "Black Rhapsody" a "black & white horror/cult thriller comic.  The comic "is about magical idols named after mythological goddesses fighting an uphill battle to overthrow an evil pop star from the music charts, and save the world." We talk a lot about the musical, mythological, and anime influences that were put into this comic. This was a fun chat!

Many comic book fans know Dwayne McDuffie as a comic book writer and the creative mind behind animated shows like "Justice League," "Justice League Unlimited" and "Ben 10 Alien Force." Some also known him as one of the founding father's of Milestone Comics. But did you know that in December 12, 1989, he made a pitch to Marvel Comics about a group of African-American teenagers possessing "cosmic-powered skateboards?" Enter the "Teenage Negro Ninja Thrashers" the comic that never was.

I give you my commentary/monologue on Dwayne McDuffie's spoof comic pitch/proposal of the comic "Teenage Negro Ninja Thrashers." Personally, I think this pitch was pure genius and it shows McDuffies wit and humor.

This episode is a part of the Black History Month series in which I give my commentary on comics centered around Black History. The first comic I commentate is "Incognegro," a story of a light-skinned African-American reporter, who poses as a white man to expose the racism and corruption around him."

In this episode, I discuss what inspired me to read this story. I also discuss  the plot, the characters, the writing and art of this graphic novel. "Incognegro" was written my Mat Johnson and illustrated by Warren Pleece and published by DC Comics' publisher Vertigo.

What's up constant listeners! This second episode of the 2021 is a commentary on one of my favorite Superman stories to come from the pages of "Action Comics no. 1000!"  Written by Richard Donner and Geoff Johns, "The Car" centers around a man who, living a life of crime and being a bully, experiences a hard lesson learned but is also given compassion by a certain Man of Steel.
