Geek Tank

Here we are back again at the wonderful Massimo Art Gallery with a brand new segment. What better way to start the new segment by having my good friend Mo who helped come up with the concept on as the first guest. Hear his amazing story on how and why he opened The Massimo Art Gallery and the challenges he is overcoming with it and why you should always pursue your passion.

As you can see we totally didn't copy Zach Galifianakis's between 2 ferns, this is completely original content...don't sue us Zach.

On this special episode of Geek Tank we were graced by Hawaii's number 1 content creator Mekel Kasanova host of The Kasanova Podcast. Hear his amazing inspiration story on how he broke through a multitude of barriers to become Hawaii's number 1 Podcast and content creator.

Welcome once again to Geek Tank, where everything is a matter of geek! On this episode, we had the pleasure of interviewing Paul St. Peter! With over 200 credited roles, Paul is a legend in the voice acting industry. He has voiced a plethora of iconic characters, such as Kurama from Naruto, Xemnas from Kingdom Hearts, Punch from Cowboy Bebop, both Wormmon and Leomon from Digimon, Wamu from Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, and so many more.

Here, Paul tells us about the business side of voice acting for those looking to get in, gives tips for life and acting, and he talks about his experiences and hobbies. For those of you out there who are creative individuals, this is an interview you won’t want to miss—whether you have an interest in acting/voice acting or not!

This interview took place on St. Patrick’s Day 2019 at Omni Fandom Expo, a Florida anime convention where Paul and many other voice actors were special guests. If you’re curious about Paul’s many roles, check out his IMDb page here:

It's almost here.

The video game we've all been waiting for.

The series Geek Tank's hosts can't shut up about.

A franchise fans feared might have died years ago due to outsourcing.

The one, the only—you guessed it: Devil May Cry, baby!

So sick, so smoking, so...stylish! The game that is. (We're sitting at a mere Crazy rank between work and the show.) We discuss our thoughts and experiences with Devil May Cry, we express our love, and gush about how excited we are for Friday, it's release date.

Will you be picking up DMC5 this Friday? Let us know! And while you're at it, let us know how CRAZY you think it is that we managed to slide into the timeline where the real Devil May Cry series made a comeback. Think about it—somewhere out in the multiverse, gamers are without a true DMC sequel. How sad that must be.

On this episode, we talk about Alita: Battle Angel, trans-humanism in media, and we discuss the oft-quoted, “More human than human line,” from Blade Runner. Alita just hit theaters on Valentine’s Day (or Singles Awareness Day for all the single people out there like us), and we loved it! In fact, we enjoyed it so much it spawned this discussion.

If you haven’t seen Alita yet, have no worries—there are no spoilers here. But seriously, what are you waiting for? Go see it! It’s based on the Gunnm manga, which was also adapted into an OVA, so you can also check those out if you’re not much of a theater goer.

If you’re interested in Propeller Anime and their Anime Night meetup we mentioned, you can find more information in the links below. They’ll be showing the Battle Angel Alita OVA on Thursday, February 21. Maybe we’ll see you there?

As always, let us know your thoughts in the comments below, be it on the trans-humanism topic, Alita, or any of the stories we mentioned in this episode. Show us how human you are!

It's finally here! Our first proper, full-length episode of Geek Tank's Season 2. Because it's on everyone's mind right now–and in almost everyone's consoles—we decided to discuss Kingdom Far—er, Hearts!

We discuss the winding, twisting plot of the series, the fantastic gameplay, and the ways in which it has iterated across more than ten games on several consoles. We talk about the good, the bad, the nonsensical, and more!

Don't let the discussion end with us; tell us your thoughts on this love child of Final Fantasy and Disney in the comments below.

Who's better? Sora or Riku? Xemnas or Mansex? Donald who uses Thundaga or Donald who uses Curaga?

Let your voice be heard! Fill everyone's dark soul with LIGHT!!!

(Whoops! Wrong game, hehe.)

What a timely episode. This time around, Geek Tank discusses...

Conventions!

Anime conventions. Comic conventions. Videogames, fitness, whatever kinds of conventions you can think of and then some.

If you're watching this the week of release, at least one convention has taken place over the weekend... and we're just now returning from it—Anime Iwai. And then next month, there's another major Florida anime convention taking place, Holiday Matsuri. There's probably another following that, and another after that, and... we think you get the picture.

This time, we sat down once again with guest, Marco Rodriguez, another fellow con-goer. We talk about conventions we've been to, our experiences at them over the years, and the one activity that's almost inseparable from the con experience: drinking.

Let us know your thoughts below. Share your crazy con stories, we'd love to hear them!
