  • Episode 170: Whoopsiedoodle
Technical difficulties precluded us from doing a standard episode this week, so instead you get an occasionally newsy, mostly chit-chatty episode. We talk miracle anime returns, the return of Cait's Astronomy Corner, upcoming shows we're amped for, and entirely too much time on our current backpack needs (send suggestions).

  • Episode 168: The Dark Crystal and Coming to America
Back to format this week for what is apparently the first instalment of what Cait's dubbing "Cinematic September," where we'll pause our endless love affair with television to revisit some movies we love. Up first: Jim Henson's dark fantasy tale "The Dark Crystal" and the Eddie Murphy rom-com "Coming to America." We also talk about collecting disappointments, the weirdest wrestling story we've heard in awhile, Jordan has quibbles with the murder corner and Caitlin discovers she really likes David Fincher.

  • Episode 167: Duck Tales (2017)
It's an August Watch-O-Rama bonus as Jord and Cait correct our schedule, fulfilling a listener request to check out the star-studded 2017 relaunch of Disney's classic cartoon Duck Tales. We also catch up on a gang of newsbites coming out of the D23 convention, deal with typical record buying dilemmas and update each other on what we've been checking including The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, Yakuza 0, new albums from Tool and Little Brother and more.

  • Episode 166: The Boys
August Watch-O-Rama wraps up for another year (maybe, we might need a do over, details in the ep) with Amazon's superhero deconstruction The Boys. Cait had been waiting for this one a long time, did it meet her expectations?
Also this ep! More of how we spent our summer vacations and the massive update dump of all the content we consumed including Derry Girls, Dear White People, the Men Writing Women Twitter account, the third Mummy movie no one talks about, Destination Wedding, the nightmare of terrestrial television and so much more!

  • Episode 165: Gentleman Jack
Reunited in space and time, your new BFFs end their summer sabbatical for reals this time, to chat about the one thing Caitlin's been calling out for since this podcast began: Gentleman Jack, HBO's adaptaion of the diaries of Anne Lister, widely considered the first modern lesbian. There's also sad chat about the KyoAni fire and putting down beloved pets, happy chat like improving how we live and our travel chronicles, and a dose of twitchy chat as Cait reckons with Jordan's organizational choices.

Back at it, and back in time next week for "Gentleman Jack," the historical drama based on the diaries of Anne Lister, and the one thing Caitlin's been waiting for since this podcast started.

  • Episode 163: Stranger Things 3
August Watch-O-Rama 2019 commences with our traditional jaunt to Hawkins, IN to catch up with Mike, Eleven and the rest of the crew and see just how strange things have gotten in Netflix's Stranger Things 3. We've also got updates from the Walking Dead and Anime Expo, all of which are out of date since we recorded this episode in July, as well as updates to what we were checking out including Derry Girls, and some dusty episodes of Forensic Files Caitlin hadn't seen yet.

  • Episode 162: A Silent Voice
Grab the tissues, y'all Opportune June gives way to August Watch-O-Rama with the 2016 anime feature film "A Silent Voice." How many times did we cry? A lot! We'll talk about that, Cait's road to recovery, the neverending existential crises of the record collector, and all the things we've been watching including "Booksmart", "Jessica Jones", the novels of Sue Grafton and more.
This marks the start of summer hiatus, we'll be back with you on August 6th to start the Watch-O-Rama proper! Stay safe and have a great summer y'all! Nintendo's for babies!

  • Episode 161: Pasta Redux and Cars 3
Opportune June rolls on with audience choice! The people had things they wanted us to get back to, and they let us know, so Cait returned to the world of Korean drama 'Pasta,' and Jordan is now allowed to have an opinion, having seen 'Cars 3.'
There's also an admittedly scattershot front half of the show on everything to the frustrations of learning Japanese, a few things we've been watching and a very, very important apology.
