February is here, and with it comes the world's most corporate holiday: Valentines Day. This week, Jon's here to tell us all about how the Japanese have interpretted the most romantic of stress-fests. Meanwhile, Tom gets distract by chocolate. How predictable.

Also in this episode, the guys talk about the latest and greatest entry into Cyberpunk Anime: No Gun's Life. It's a show about a man who has a gun for a head. I cannot stress this enough, he has a gun for a head. They tOoK hIS HeAD, ANd MADE IT A GUN!

This week brings a more condensed episode, as Jon has a bit of a cold. 

Anyway, in this episode, Jon will be telling us all about Shogi, a traditional Japanese board game that is definitely not just chess on drugs. Meanwhile, Tom shares his joint excitement and trepidation at the news that Log Horizon will be returning for a third season!

A new challenger has been revealled for Smash Bros. Ultimate, but all is not well in Smashville. The announcement that the latest DLC fighter will be another character from the Fire Emblem series has been met with a heavy amount of backlash. Players are tense, emotions are high, and the community is in turmoil. So obviously the best thing to do would be to get stuck right into the middle of it all!

Should Smash not be your cup of tea, this episode also includes more student and gacha-related stories from Japan with Jon, and a brief review of Carole & Tuesday from Tom!

In this week's episode, Jon and Tom briefly return to the Brit-ish isles of the Galar Region to discuss the latest announcements regarding Pokemon Sword & Shield. The Isle of Armor and Frozen Tundra DLCs offer not just an oppurtunity to speculate on the future of Pokemon, but also Nintendo and gaming culture as a whole. Follow Jon as he recounts his knowledge of how the world's biggest form of media is enjoyed in Japan, and nod along politely with Tom as he complains about Japan's influence on the mobile games market.
