The Geeks and Gaijin Podcast has recovered from last week's technical difficulties, although our hosts have yet to recover from their bioloical difficulties. The cold of Japanese winter doesn't seem to bother Jon all that much though, because he's on fire this week!
As way of apology, here's an extra-length episode! This week Jon and Tom explore the uses of face masks in Asian cultures, further nuances of Japanese language, and some further updates on the world of anime, including the latest in No Gun's Life News, and reviews of Lupin III The Castle of Cagliostro, and Black Fox. Also apparently bears.

With Winter just around the corner, the guys settle in and find some warmer topics to prepare themselves. Prepare for snuggling under Kotatsus, trying some spicy Japanese curry, and discussing anime's hottest shounen battle blockbuster, Fire Force.
Also featured in this episode: Pokemon Sword and Shield's impressive sales figures, Thunderbirds, and the trials and tribulations of trying to mark a Japanese test paper properly. We promise it makes sense in context... probably.

A new Pokemon game is out, and Jon is here to guide us through the wonderfully British world of the Galar region. with cute monsters, puns, and obscure slang galore!
Also in this episode, Jon explains the differences between Japanese and English Pokemon names, Tom gives his review of Netflix's Cannon Busters, and both apologise for not knowing that a new season of Megalo Box was going to be announced by picking a fight with the Animelluminati. Classic.

Jon leads the way this episode with more stories of working at a Japanese high school, playing basketball against high school girls, and trying to make sense of the concept of cricket. Also in this episode, Jon and Tom discuss Castlevania, Moe, Japan's Gay Agenda, and that Konami apparently owns gyms now?
Is it weird? Yes! Does it make any sense? Maybe! The only way to find out is to listen to this week's episode of the Geeks & Gaijins Podcast.

Tom is the geek in the UK and Jon is the gaijin in Japan. They are two anime fans, one who went so far as to live in the land of anime, and now they decide talking about it is a good idea. We look at anime from the east and west, on what its like both in Japan and everywhere else! In this first episode we introduce you to the bizarre world of seasonal anime, recap the summer season, and look into what the future holds. Discussion of everything from Food Wars, Japanese high schools, and MY HERO ACADEMIA, as well as some unfortunate anime snack time. Sit back and enjoy!
