Actor, singer and composer Alex Young, is a very familiar face in musical theatre - from Follies at the National Theatre, through to 'Me and My Girl' at the Chichester Festival Theatre, she has had the opportunity to play a huge number of fantastic female roles in the musical theatre cannon, and helped to reshape the perception of what a musical theatre actor should be.

In this episode, Emily and Georgia spoke to Alex at the halfway point of her run playing Young Sally in 'Follies' at the National Theatre, discussing typecasting, body image, female writers and breaking expectations in Musical Theatre are all discussed.
