There are a number of popular strategies in Commander, and one of the most popular is Landfall! Lands decks in Commander can sport some very powerful value engines. This week, we Explore the strategy of Landfall, delving into what Enablers they tend to favor, what their Payoffs are... and of course, how to tackle an opponent's Landfall deck!

John's been covering LESSONS FROM cEDH for a minute now, but he still enjoys a game of casual Commander. In fact, some of his favorite casual decks have come about specifically because of innovations made by brewers in the cEDH metagame who have found new tech and blazed new trails to make the decks in this video possible!

For years, high-color cEDH decks have had a go-to partner in the form of Tymna, the Weaver. It's easy to see why: she's cheap and she helps you draw more cards while giving you access to black and white. This week, John brings together our Lessons from cEDH for this the Arc of Sans-Red with the radical suggestion that not every Sans-Red deck needs Tymna at the helm, and maybe dorks *can* find a place in the Orcish Bowmasters metagame after all, with a little lateral thinking...

Commander was once defined by 2- and 3-color decks, but the printing of Commander 2016, enabled by the raw power of a manabase built on Fetchlands plus typed-dual lands created the conditions for one of the earliest cEDH metagames to take shape. Want to know how we arrived at a world dominated by Blue Farms and Sisays and Najeelas? Tune in to this week's episode as John dissects the design choices by Wizards of the Coast which created the modern cEDH metagame as we know it!

We've put this off long enough: cEDH is a metagame dominated by high-color decks, and this week, John sits down with Spleenface from Into the North, the Mindsculptors and Team Turn Three to discuss Spleen's latest take on a cEDH classic partner pair: Tymna / Thrasios. They say that everything old is new again, and Spleen has put a lot of effort into applying cards that may have had some initial hype that died down to *work* in this brew! If you miss the good ol' days of Razakats (or you're cEDH-curious and want to know what the heck "Razakats" is), then stay tuned!

Have you ever had one of those days where every time you try to win, an opponent just slaps you right back down? It can feel like you're trying to run head-first through a brick wall. This week, John breaks down the concept of Window Theory and the Patterns of Victory that have been discussed in cEDH circles to help you identify when the optimal time is to try to score a win!

The conventional wisdom says that Breach decks can't play Grafdigger's Cage, arguably one of the most powerful stax pieces in the format. But what if there was a deck that played like the lovechild of Razakats and Midrange Naus was raised by their weird uncle who only played Modern Eggs? That's how you get Jeskai Midrange Ad Naus! (And a special *bonus* casual deck that this experiment inspired!).

More Jeskai month! Jeskai has had some wild changes in cEDH over the past several years. Much of what informs the power of modern Jeskai decks in cEDH comes from a relatively short period of time that changed *everything* that players thought they knew about this color identity. So how does red changes the Azorius gameplan we all know so well? Check out this week's episode to see for yourself!
