Production Designers, Art Directors, Costumers, Makeup Artists, Composers... You know those movies that are so bad they're good? Come on...they can't all be bangers. Well, today we honor some of the best of the worst. Or...worst of the best if you will. Not bad movies...great movies. If they're on, we're watching them. But it's a collection of gigantic plot holes, dodgy effects, less-than-stellar dialogue, and maybe a huge helping of camp. Coming to you direct from a(nother) 3-day holiday weekend...the Gen X Cinema Geeks are baaaaack. The saucy cinematic siblings of silliness are counting down their favorite movies of all time. With loose interpretations of "favorite". Be prepared to be wowed by the selections of your intrepid hosts as they show you just how unnuanced their tastes can be! You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll reach for your popcorn.

In honor of all the great Fathers out there, the Geeks are bringing you a special Father's Day episode. Join us as we celebrate the holy grail of movie fathers - some make tough choices for their kids, some are strong father figures, and some leave trails of disaster in their wake. But all are standing up and doing the work! Warning - this episode contains some language and spoilers! Proceed accordingly.

Lucky you! A new pot of gold from your favorite sparring cinema siblings to fill your Irish heart with joy. Or something like that. Join us as we travel back in time to the early aughts which are surprisingly full of space stations, Victorian poets, Hobbitses (what's hobbitses, Precious?), Zombies, and one a$$-kicking amnesiac super spy. The pre-cogs tell us this episode is top notch - no crimes here. Although....Kris sings again, so that could honestly be counted as one.

After a long hiatus and much life stuff, the geeks are back to geeking. It's a world-building extravaganza as we tackle the embarrassment of cinematic riches that was 2001. There's Hobbits, wizards, Denzel Washington, paperwork, ghosts, and unidentified jet engine mayhem. Rich gets to fanboy, Kris gets to sing (although we all wish she would stop that). Mostly, it's just good clean fun. Except for a couple swear words. Ooops. Sorry Mom.

It's post Y2K and pre LOTR in the cinematic universe. We are back with the year 2000...kickoff to the aughts. Join us as we celebrate the triumphant return of Juliette Binoche, Kris gets more #basic than normal, but still manages to sing, Rich finds his new groove, and we return to our normal witty-bantering form after a long absence (which shall not be repeated and we endeavor not to undertake any such delays in the future).

The grand finale of secret lists is finally here! The wait is over! There are a lot of exclamation points happening! Will Rich continue down his dark path? Does he just need a hug? Does #basic Kris take on the preeminent film organization in the world? In an episode full of cooking rats, singing nuns, Hobbits and wizards, a trifecta of Audreys, and a relic-hunting archaeology professor, the Geeks take on their latest assignment with gusto. You'll have to tune in to find out if Rich can pronounce any of the names on his list, if Kris remains #basic, and which Sour Patch Kids are the best. No for reals though. 

We poured our little black and white hearts and souls into these lists.  And yes...for those of you following along at home, there is Denzel.  We know that's why you listen, and we support that. Any catchy descriptors would ruin the surprise and the one thing we love is a surprise.  And Denzel. And needle drops. And Shakespeare. And snacks.  So, I guess there's more than one thing.  But just sit patiently and wait for your surprise people. The answer is just a click away....
