Most of us, if not all, grew up with big aspirations—dreaming of great universities at which we will further our studies. As we grow older though, sometimes it seems like that dream may never be attainable.

Stage fright hinders us from performing our best. What's worse is that  it is one of the most difficult fears to overcome. In fact, despite the fact that we have been making a lot of public performances throughout our lives, we still get very anxious or nervous on stage.

So you've listed down your New Year's goals and resolutions. However,  how do you plan to reach them? What do you plan to do to keep yourself  motivated to reach them?

We kicked off the conversation by sharing our own goals and resolutions.  Following that, we talked about one of the biggest hindrances in  reaching your goals; the change of constants. Situational changes can  throw you terribly off-track. Hence we discussed when it is okay to  excuse yourself for not reaching a goal and to not beat yourself up for  it. Alongside that, we also tackled the question of how to stay  motivated in reaching your goals. For this, we shared a few tips and  tricks which we usually practice and also some other ones which we  thought might help. Closing off, we also pondered on the purpose of  having a goal and how to best find one if you still do not have one.

Why is it that the present year often feels worse than the year before? How do we look back at a bad year and still appreciate it? What is the use of reflecting on a year?

Hello and welcome to Gen Z meets World podcast! In this episode, we sat down to reflect on end of year reflections!

Starting off the conversation, we weighed in our experience of the year as well as listed down the things that we have managed to achieve this year. Then, we discussed the importance of reflecting on the year as well as the need to balance between acknowledging your achievements and recognising the things that you could have done better. We also thought about the concept of ranking years and why it is impossible to accurately compare the weight of bad experiences. Towards the end of the conversation, we also explored the concept of end of year and new year celebrations as well as their significance.

In essence, we talked about gratitude, mindfulness, self-reflection and how we should be aware of the privileges we have despite the odds.

Losing close family and friends have impacted us in many ways. But how do we learn to accept and overcome the loss? How do we move forward without losing the memory of our loved ones?

Hello and welcome to Gen Z meets World podcast! In this episode, we talked about facing the loss of our loved ones, its effects on us and how to accept them.

We began the conversation by talking about why it is hard for children to overcome the loss of someone close to them. To explore this thought, we talked about our experiences when we lost someone close to us at a young age. We also thought about how the loss has gravely impacted us and reflected on how we learnt to accept them. Discussing the idea further, we pondered on how more recent losses have impacted us and why being older doesn't mean that it would be easier for one to accept a loss.

Aside from that, we also discussed a few difficulties we often face when trying to overcome the death of a loved one. One of the difficulties we mentioned was the fear of losing our memory of those who have passed away as time goes on. Closing the discussion, we highlighted the importance for us to try to move on from the loss we face and to help others move on too.

We really hope that this episode can help you find ways to accept and overcome the death of someone very close to you. They say that what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. And it may be true. However, it is undeniable that such an impactful moment would still chip you and leave a scar. In the end, it isn't about finding ways to heal that scar, but rather to learn to accept it.
