Fan Set Pitches. For those Trek fans who shopped during the “peak” DVD era, we remember the various themes, characters, etc. used to bundle together episodes from across similar and separate series. In the age of streaming, it’s a lot easier to pick a random Trek episode - but what if we could “build” our own playlists? What concepts, common storyline themes, or general characters would we use to “binge” seemingly disparate episodes from the franchise? It's past time to spend time with the face behind the channel - Richard Carrier. Richard recently went from behind the camera to in front of it with his recent appearance on "The Chase." He talks about his experience as a contestant with Who alum host Bradley Walsh, his visit to the London-based "The Who Shop," and his visit to the immersive experience "Doctor Who: Time Fracture." His adventures keep us in the spirit of time & space as we await the next series of new Who!

Derek "Lost Footage" Young and Darren "Wrong Raster" Moser talk about projects that have failed and how they moved past those moments. Failure is not the end of a project, only the first part sometimes.

For this next series, Asia and Charles are going to Panem and returning home to a series that they both have read and love dearly. We get to follow Katniss around, and we revel in some eighth grade dystopian angst. Katniss and Peeta enter The Hunger Games, and we follow their journey from District 12, through training, all the way into the arena. We compliment Suzanne Collins’ writing because she simply does an excellent job worldbuilding while keeping the plot moving along. This section was definitely a page turner.

Next week we will be reading chapters 15-27 of book 1 in the series, The Hunger Games.
