Matthew 13:44-46

The Gospel is a treasure of immeasurable value.

Matthew 13:3-9, 18-23

Jesus teaches on the condition of the heart, it's from the heart that our action flows.

Matthew 13:1-3

Jesus begins to conceal and reveal the Kingdom through parables.

Matthew 12:30-35

Jesus teaches us that good trees produce good fruit, and we are like trees!  Our lives are producing from what is happening within us.  This week we walk through what is known as "fruit to root", if you don't like what your life is producing (behavior)-than follow it back to the root (heart).  

Matthew 12:22-30

The Pharisees accuse Jesus of being of the devil, and Jesus responds by telling them a house divided cannot stand.  Even Satan knows in order to destroy us he has to divide us!  We have to cling to what brings us together, the Gospel of Jesus, and fight against the temporal things of this world that threaten to divide us.

Matthew 12:1-14

Jesus shifts His attention from the crowds to the Pharisees and proceeds to confront them over their additions to the law of Moses.  

Matthew 11:20-30

Jesus denounces the cities of Israel for rejecting His Kingdom offer, but as He always does He doesn't give up on the people.  He offers rest to anyone who wants to be freed from the weight and oppression of religion.  

Matthew 11:7-19

Jesus addresses the crowds and their disappointment in John and in Himself for not meeting their expectations.  Jesus compares them to children who get mad when they don't get their own way.  This is us, we are the 1st century Jews, Jesus doesn't meet our expectations and when that happens we are disappointed.  We can allow our disappointment to draw us to Him or repel us from Him.  

Matthew 11:1-6

Matthew 11 opens with John the Baptist expressing doubt about who Jesus is.  Doubt is something we all experience, and we can learn to face our doubt as John did and allow it to lead us to a greater understanding of who Jesus is!

Jesus came to rescue us!  We were in peril, and He gave up the glory heaven to become one of us, so that He could save us.
