From the early church, where believers shared everything they had, to today, the idea is clear: grace transforms how we see and handle our resources. When we truly understand God’s generosity toward us, we can experience freedom and joy in giving. This perspective encourages us to reflect on our attitudes about ownership, contentment, trust, and the priority we place on giving back to God. How does grace shape our generosity, and what changes might we see if we let it guide us?
We see in Noah’s story a powerful example of how faith and obedience can bring God’s favor, even in uncertain times. Noah found favor with the Lord, not because of his own merit, but because he chose to trust and act when God called him. This reminds us that God’s favor isn’t something we earn, but something we receive as we step out in faith. Just like Noah built the ark before ever seeing a drop of rain, we’re invited to put God first and trust that our faithful actions today can shape the future. As we embrace this call, we prepare ourselves and the next generation to walk in God’s blessings.
We are in a pivotal time in history. God is about to take Generation Church to another level and use us for a greater purpose: to reach more people for Jesus than ever before. This is a Kairos moment for our church, and just like all Kairos moments, it will bring tremendous tension and require faith, but it will also have a generational impact. It’s time for a faith move.
The last chapter of 1 Corinthians covers a lot of ground and has something for everyone. We learn the importance of handling money the right way—by planning, being generous, and staying accountable. We also learn how to be flexible with our plans and stand strong during conflicts. This message will encourage everyone to be brave and firm in their faith, reminding us that God is always with us, even with challenges.
The apostle Paul and the early Christians took incredible risks to share the gospel. They faced wild beasts, angry mobs, prison, and even torture. So, what gave them the courage to do that? They weren’t afraid of death—they saw it as an upgrade. With that same mindset, we should live each day as if eternity starts tomorrow.
The most important message is the Good News of Jesus! That Jesus Christ died for our sins, was buried, and was raised from the dead on the third day! That’s what 1 Corinthians 15 is all about, and it reminds us that the Good News of Jesus isn’t just the starting point of our faith; it’s what carries us all the way through life.
Ever feel like running away from what God asks of you? This is exactly what happened to Jonah, who ran from God’s call. In Jonah’s story, we explore why we resist His plans, the cost of disobedience, and how God uses storms in our lives to wake us up. The good news is that God offers second chances despite our running, and our obedience leads to transformation, even when it’s uncomfortable.
If we look at 1 Corinthians 14, should we read this scripture literally? Is it a universal command to all churches for all times, or was Paul addressing a specific situation with the Corinthians church that leaves an enduring principle for us? As we look at the entire bible and this specific scripture, we can see that it communicates an enduring principle to apply, not a universal command to enforce. In fact, we see that God is not opposed to women leading His people or teaching men, but instead, He celebrates and memorializes it in His eternal word.
If Jesus were living in America today, would He even vote? The answer is emphatically “yes.” Although Jesus wasn’t born into a constitutional republic like the one we live in and doesn’t have a voting record, we do have His Word, in which He reveals His values, standards, priorities, and desires. We can look at what God says, look at what He did, and then apply His wisdom to our lives.
There is a myth that you get all the Holy Spirit you could ever want or need when you are saved, but that’s not true. You can receive more of the Holy Spirit by being baptized in the Holy Spirit as Christians were in scripture on multiple occasions. We all should want all of the Holy Spirit we can get.
