Everyone deals with failure. In fact, the Bible records the failures of some of the most faith-filled people in history. Failure is just an event; it doesn't define you as a person! We have already been redeemed by our Mighty Savior, Jesus. Zephaniah 3:17 says, "The LORD your God is with you, he is mighty to save."
God the Father loves to bless his children with unexpected gifts. Jesus Christ was the greatest gift ever given, and the way God sent him to us as written in Luke chapter 2 was unexpected, personal and life changing! Christmas is a special time for us to remember to receive and share this most perfect gift.
Each Christian has a story about their redemption and salvation through Jesus. God uses saved people to reach lost people. God wants to give you the opportunity to share your story with others so they might be saved. When you BLESS others, it’s not a matter of IF you will get to share, but WHEN! Mark 16:15 says, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone.” Your story is important—share it!
Hell is a real place of never-ending suffering. So, how could a loving God send people to hell? The better question to ask is, “How could someone reject such a loving God?” 1 Timothy 2:4 says God, “...wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth.” Sadly, many choose the road to hell by rejecting God’s truth.
Some people think all religions lead to the same God, but it’s not true. Jesus described only two roads that lead to your meeting with the one, true God: a wide road of religious works that ultimately leads to destruction and a narrow road of grace that leads to eternal life. Jesus said in John 14:6, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
God’s Word says to love Him with all of our hearts AND our minds. Some Christians fear that science undermines our faith in God, but when we look closely we find that scientific evidence supports Christianity even when scientists don’t! Though the Bible wasn’t written as a scientific textbook, we can see thousands of examples that the Bible and science line up perfectly.
Are there contradictions in the Bible? The quick answer is “no!” Sometimes what may seem like a contradiction is actually a language barrier or is Scripture taken out of context. 2 Timothy 3:16 says, “All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true.” Read it, be confident in teaching it, and be fulfilled as you study more of God’s Word.
