For non-political news I talk about NY putting a moratorium on data centers until they can more thoroughly review environmental impacts. Rob talks about ebola. To cleanse this past week - Rob loves the summer storms and KelZ loves wine. Well, she drank a bunch of wine uh everything while on vacation and it helped. Being away from news for 5 days was nice, too!
We goofed a couple of times but continue to stay true to our goal of non-politics talk. For Tech our topics were watching movies on an HMD (quest 3s), recycling electronics via Freecycle, and Rob’s looking for a MAC as his music creation journey continues. For music we talked about Gregg Anderson (New Radicals), Miles Davis (100 year birthday is today, the 26th!), Rush, and YES. In newsworthy is Stephen Colbert, and SpaceX. Cleansing moment focused on Rob’s happiness with stone fruit and KelZ’s obsession this week with creating a list and community around Fi-AI (fiction written by humans about AI).

For non-political news topics it is all about 152nd Kentucky Derby (winner: Golden Tempo). Original Soundtrack of the week is Miles Davis - Elevator to the Gallows. “Miles Davis's score for the film is considered by many to be groundbreaking,[3] with jazz critic Phil Johnson describing it as "the loneliest trumpet sound you will ever hear, and the model for sad-core music ever since. Hear it and weep."[4] Richard Brody, film critic and writer for The New Yorker, wrote in 2016 that the score itself is "better than the film, by far".[5]” Source: WIKI
