Generation X-Men

Whatever it takes for Brooksey to sit through this episode. He wasn't have a ton of fun watching Mjnari being chased by The Shadow King bu for me it was a nostalgia episode I used to watch a fair bit. On IMDB and the rest of the internet this episode is considered to be sub-par in comparison to the rest; whether that's true or not you'll have to listen and find out. We got X-Quiz, Breakdown and Tally Time as usual but we also discuss the Astral Plane and a HUGE missed opportunity regarding the showdown between Professor X and The Shadowking. I really wish we got to see that.- Bender

Till Death Do Us Part Part 2 (still fun to say without a pause) We got a full blast of Mr Sinister doing sinster stuff as well as my new favourites The Nasty Boys! Morph's still up to no good and we get to see how he is the way he is with the whole Smeagol/Gollum, Rogues nod to Wonder Woman and Cyclops not making any sense because he's Booty Blinded by his one-eyed cyclops. Got the breakdown and claw draw PLUS a very special mailbag and shout out; LENORE ZANN the voice of Rogue dropped us a line on twitter! Listen to me geek out when she calls me (not Brooksey) Sugar Down Under. Give her a follow on twitter @ZannLenore and show some love because even though I can do it all myself it'd be nice to let her feel the love from all the fans worldwide- Bender

Till Death Do Us Part Part 1 (It's fun to say without the pause) New season which means a new disc in Brooksey's dvd box set of X-Men: The Animated Series. Morph's back and is wreacking havoc on the X-Men or Extreme Trolling, whatever you prefer. We're introduced to the FOH, talk about Wolverines undying obsession with Jean, Gambit's undying obsession to pash off with Rogue and what's really on Professor XXX's private video line. We also mention a controversial censorship cut made for the dvd release that was not on the original television broadcast aswell as the usual Breakdown, tally time and claw draw. This was a neat little "reset the pieces" episode for the series which sets up a number of story arcs for the rest of the season. - Bender

The Final Decision and the final episode of season 1 of X-Men: The Animated Series. Going out with a bang with mass sentinel destruction in an action packed finale. I love me some sentinels and if you do too, this was a great send off. Hitting a personal milestone here at Generation X-Men because we're already ONE season down. With only 4 to go things seem to be moving crazy fast. Got the usual breakdown, tally time and clawdraw BUT we have a great mailbag segment in which Brooksey answers "How rich is the professor and how's he REALLY funding his little team of destructive X-Men?"- Bender

Days of Future Past Part 2; as good as part 1? Not really, but we're gonna talk about it any. The big follow up to one of our favourite episodes ever and the thrilling finale of the first Bishop time travel story. We talk about another spin off "The Tomfoolery of Bishop and Wolverine" a buddy comedy about an uncanny X-Odd Couple; I personally think it would be hilarious. Let's make it happen. Also got the usual X-Quiz, Breakdown and tally time- Bender

FOR THE FUTURE! Greetings traitors we are up to a marvelous episode and dare I say the best so far Days of Future F'ing Past Part 1. Holy moley, did we have fun with this one. Little background, before Brooksey and I started the podcast if ever X-Men: The Animated Series came up in conversation this episode was the first to be mentioned. If I said "Hey Brooksey, remember the X-Men cartoon?" he would either say "Traitor" or "Your future ends now!!!" This was always the most talked about episode on the playgrounds of Narara Public School and after the rewatch there's no doubt it's one of the best. Got the usual X-Quiz, Breakdown and tally time; we ran a little long on this podcast but it's only because we were having so much fun.- Bender

The first taste of Apocalypse! In the podcast we talk about how he monologues, transforms, phases, blasts stuff and gets big and everything. We get introduced to Archangel aswell, setup the long running feud between him and the big man, Apoc's lackluster horsemen and what the X-Men would order at the bar. Got the usual breakdown, tally time and claw draw. Sorry we're late too haha.- Bender

Ready to feel sad for Rogue again? I know I am. We're up to episode 9; The Cure and in the podcast today we answer the big questions: Where's Pyro from? Why doesn't he sound Australian? What does he sound like? Who does episode belong to? Seeing how there's Rogue, Cable, Apocalypse, Mystique AND Pyro, Avalanche, The Professor and Moira Mactaggert. Seem crowded? Tune in a find out. - Bender

It's the Juggernaut, friends. Having some laughs big time with this episode seeing how it's the first appearance of internet meme darling The Juggernaut. I forgot how funny and entertaining the Juggernaut can be and somewhat disappointed when I remember how little of him we see in the upcoming seasons. Tally time, too many questions and breakdown as usual in this ep BUT we also discuss character specific musical themes and their importance to the series.- Bender

Slave Island PLUS our Dream Cast for an early 90's Live Action Movie - In this episode we cover Slave Island which has a bunch of X-Cameos and introduces fan favouritre and my personal favourite X-Men character CABLE! Big jacked guy with two plasma guns, spitting one liners? YES PLEASE. Slave Island also features the return of The Sentinels and their dad Mastermold. What we teased in the last episode was who we'd cast in an X-Men film if it were made in the early 90's and here we rattle of so unconventional picks of your favourites. We had a ton of fun with this so don't be surprised if we keep on casting our dream x-men movie.- Bender
