In Genesis 4:1–16, the story of Cain and Abel shows the struggle between obedience and sin. Eve had hope for her son, but instead witnessed the reality of human brokenness. Abel brought God his best, while Cain gave less and became angry when God didn’t accept his offering. God cared not just about the gift, but about the heart behind it.
