In our 2nd to last entre of the L:WRM conversation series we got to have an Apprentice Sunday with Maddie & Jonah teaching us through the text for the first time at Genesis. In this conversation we focus in on 1st John 5:5-13

We are nearing the end of our Legacy: What Really Matters conversation series. In this message, Stuart, who is one of our Elder's in the community, walks us through the entireity of 1st John Chapter 4 focusing in on 4 points:

1. Testing the Spirits

2. God is Love

3. Receive Love

4. Give Love

In this Sunday conversation we actually go back a little in 1st John to the 2nd half of Chapter 2 and focus in on the idea of anointing.

In this conversaton we finish out 1st John Chp. 3 and Chris focuses in on what it means to be in community. PS: We apologize for the distorted audio. This will be fixed next week.

In This past Sunday of our 1st John Series Terry leads us through Chapter 3:1-10 but focus on verse 1.

Hi all! After having a family conversation together we decided to not post the conversation from Sunday but instead re-write it a bit and record it again.

This past Sunday we moved on in our current series around 1st John into chapter 2:11-17. Specificly focusing in on 12-14:

(v12) I am writing to you, dear children, because your sins have been forgiven on account of his name. (v13) I am writing to you, fathers, because you know him who is from the beginning. I am writing to you, young men, because you have overcome the evil one. (v14) I write to you, dear children, because you know the Father. I write to you, fathers, because you know him who is from the beginning. I write to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God lives in you, and you have overcome the evil one.

Chris lead us through what it means to know your Sins are forgiven and the three groups John calls out in this section of scripture:

- Children

We continue in our conversation around 1st John moving into Chapter 2:7-11 Specifcally focusing in on verses 10: "...Anyone who loves their brother and sister lives in the light, and there is nothing in them to make them stumble."

Something to note in this episode is that this was an apprenctice Sunday. These are family moments where we give people oppurtunities lead a space they have never lead in our community.
