Sometimes we are so focused on running after God's heart, we forget that he has been chasing us all along.

Running after God's heart is never the safe, comfortable option. Yet He calls us out of our comfort zone in order to bring us away from the shade and into His light.

Most often we feel as though we are living on the fringe, outside of those who are counted in. Jesus proved that he is not just for those on the outside, but he actually died outside in order to make sure we are counted in.

Sometimes we are running after God's heart with the intent to brush up against Jesus. We learn from two stories what it means to run after Jesus and hold fast to him in order to find healing.

Running after the heart of God often means waiting a little longer.

We all are on a journey of seeking approval, and Jesus shows us how there are two ways we try to deal with that. One works, and the other doesn't.

So many times we feel like we've spent our entire lives striving for gold medal status, only to come up short feeling like second best. Jesus came to settle the score and invites us to a different kingdom where there is no such thing as second best.

We all have a restlessness, and we all carry a yoke to deal with our burden. Jesus calls us to Himself, in order to offer us a different way.

In the Gospel accounts of Jesus, the authors are telling us that Jesus is not just King of our own hearts, but King over all creation, but what type of King is He?

We are all chasing after something. The question we need to ask is, who or what are we running after?
