What does it mean to build spaces that are safe? and how do we allow Jesus to empower and inform us how to do so?

Discipleship is not an easy come, easy go engagement. It cannot be quantified into a set amount of time passed, information dispensed or benchmarks reached, but rather, discipleship is all about the long and sometimes hard road of relationship.

We often feel the need to backtrack and justify our words or actions to others, and so also with God. But as we learn that we are justified simply through our faith in Jesus and His death and resurrection, we can then do the hard work of spreading that glory and love to others.

Paul talks about the unity of the body of Christ coming together through valuing others before yourself. That through the body, we carry around the death and life of Jesus, which brings hope to the world as we live out our divinity given to us by Jesus.

Sometimes we run to Jesus for all the wrong reasons, but when we realize that he meets us more than half way, then we can begin to experience His new creation. New beginnings are possible, because of Easter.

We had the unique opportunity of celebrating Pastor Dan's last Sunday before retiring. He speaks about what it means for us to follow Jesus and go to the cross with him so that we may experience life and resurrection.

Jesus has a way of taking the ordinary, and transforming it to extraordinary through our acts of service.

We learn from the book of Joshua just how important the humble and lowly are to God's Kingdom, and how stepping forward into faith is more about stepping toward the new Joshua, Yeshua, and watching him melt away our fears.
